I really don’t know how to answer this.

Yes parts of Macon County has a Westmoreland postal address because they receive mail from the United States Postal Office in Westmoreland.

There is no part of the incorporated CITY OF WESTMORELAND in Macon County. Therefore you can not “live” IN Westmoreland and be zoned for Macon County Schools.

It’s because that part of Sumner and Macon have the same zipcode.  Like I said read little bit and see we already came to the conclusion you have been trying to make.  You were just late to the comment.

I’m not from that area and was asking a simple question since one Macon County fan said that a lot of west Macon County is Westmoreland zip code and why some others school fans might think that they are out of Zone with their address .  I didn’t know what county the City of Westmoreland was in and thought it could be in both like other places in Tennessee like Strawberry Plains. The city of Westmoreland is in Sumner the zipcode for Westmorland is in both Sumner and Macon County. I do know if I lived in a place and my address said Westmoreland I would tell people I’m from there…..

I can promise you people that live in Macon County will absolutely never say they are from Westmoreland and the same going the other way. There isn’t any love lost when it comes to sports up there.

One of the Elementary Schools in Macon County has a Westmoreland address. The city limit and county line are the same line. You can live on the county line and go to Westmoreland and your neighbor will go to Macon. Tons of people live in that part of Macon county as they can drive to Gallatin or Portland in less than 30 minutes and not have to pay outrageous Sumner County Taxes.

Ditto with Trousdale as I had a Hartsville address growing up.
Macon only has two post offices and they are in RBS and Lafayette and most of the country part of the county gets its mail from elsewhere.

    • Most of what I was saying about gold ball or bust was just good ole teasing. I am surprised tho on how many folks are picking MC by 21+
    • Maybe their only chance to score an offensive touchdown this season honestly. Their schedule after that is tough
    • The last 3 games were by 7,3,&1 but the Turnover margin was Macon 7 and Upperman 1 in those 3 games. Even Friday night Macon had a chance to go up 24-14 at half instead they snapped over the QB head and lost 25 yards plus the insane going for it at the 20 yard line. These things don’t happen to work out every time. Macon could actually beat Upperman if they play  again but no one in Putnam co even acknowledges that as a possibility.
    • This is probably TC’s best chance to get in the win column this year
    • But Bogger... that SOS is pretty tough.  And this week they travel to Franklin to play 8 man football? that's got to be a mistake. Interesting tidbit this app on my phone told me: Gary Rankin, one of Tennessee's most successful high school football coaches, holds the state record for victories and state championships, with a career marked by dominance at both Riverdale and Alcoa High Schools. His record reflects only a few losses against coaches such as Ingle Martin. Ingle Martin, head coach at Christ Presbyterian Academy (CPA), has a notable career, including state championships and victories that contributed to Rankin’s relatively rare losses. Martin's CPA teams have defeated Rankin’s teams in playoff situations, establishing Martin as one of the few coaches to hold a winning record against Rankin  Despite Rankin’s legendary career, his rare defeats underscore the competitive nature of Tennessee high school football, especially against rising coaching talents like Martin.
