The old (maybe current) SEC of 2A. Really though, can anything be done about moving other teams in the region and replacing some? Riverside and Adamsville have spent time in R5.

That drive to and from Adamsville to other R5 schools would be long . They would also win a lot of games there and be guaranteed a playoff spot most years

Their drive is very far to region 6 schools. Adamsville to Trenton probably and hour plus because of traffic and lights

You can most likely look for the current Region 6 teams to be separated some going forward. With the current enrollment numbers there's no way to keep it as it is and add any teams, so some will either go east of the river, or there'll be a statewide shift to the west with some coming across the river to the west and some farther to the west going to Memphis. either way, there's too many 2A schools west of the river and east of Memphis to place all in one region.

Although I doubt anyone being placed in Memphis, it has happened before in 1A.

Think about how battle tested they will all be come playoff time.

Indeed they will be battle tested. Just hope they are healthy.

With so much changing over the past few years, especially with the coaching changes, does anyone see Riverside moving back East to R5? That definitely would alleviate some pressure on R6. The fact is, R6 the past few years has been the dominant region and, that’s including 3A milan in it. Would seem Scotts Hill would go in R5 now they are moving back down but is Summertown staying 2A?

The next question is would R4 split up and send a team or two west and R6 send a team or two west provided Riverside doesn’t come East?

You will see some traditionally West teams become East with the shift of 2A.

Geographically the loss of Forrest and Cascade to 3A , and the requests to move up in classes by Waverly and Harpeth could make some teams have to go to the other side of the bracket and make travel a little more difficult.

My prediction for the game is Lewis County 6, Milan 48. Lewis County has talented athletes, but their offensive line is struggling significantly. Losing their Mr. Football-caliber running back only adds to the challenge. While they will bring back many starters next year, for this season, it may be best to set sights on rebuilding for the future.

If their offensive line continues to perform poorly and can’t even protect the quarterback on short passes, they might need to seriously consider reverting to the Wing-T offense. The spread offense is flashy and appealing, but it requires both strong athletes and a solid offensive line to execute properly, as it demands time for route development.

McDonald will be running around for his life once again.

I agree. Definitely going to be difficult to complete against what is perhaps the best 3A school in 2A.

Never read anyone so hung up and jealous of a team. Probaly was 4th string his whole career. Coach said lets put him in last play of the game. Maybe he'll be a "Rudy"... NOT!🤣

    • The 106, 113,126,132,175 were guys that started for us Tuesday. SO no we did not lose 14 starters between Tuesday and Thursday.  There are two more chances to seee those match ups.
    • PC was really really good before the past few years. In 2018 (just 7 years ago), PC had their best chance to win the State Championship before losing a 13 pt lead in the 3rd qtr to the eventual State Champs (Greenfield) that had, I believe, 3 D1 prospects (two played for Tn Vols).
    • This is correct. I made the exact same observation about 10 or so years ago. I used to watched PC get beat by the Clarkrange's of the world by 30-40 points. Then year after year, there were noticeable changes to the PC program. They started AAU and playing together all the time. Whether that is solely on current SC coach or the fact the players played together ALL the time, I'm not sure. But PC basketball got TONS better once that system was in place.
    • So Sammy, you lost 14 wrestlers from Tuesday to Thursday? Now I do understand the flu has sucked this year, most of Soddy had it earlier in the season and had to cancel going to a tourney. Plus it helps keep the other team healthy not having to wrestle sick guys.  Just hate sickness and injuries knocked out pretty much 14 guys that wrestled against Stone Memorial and Sam Everett!  I was hopeful to see Sudderth vs Wade and Davis vs Harris. Guess we will hopefully see those matchups in a few weeks with sectionals!
    • This game will finally be played Monday after a couple of cancellations.  Kingston is the reigning District champ and last year it was “Tellico is young, but has great potential.” and now the Bears are here, ranked t5 in the state by TSWA.  Tyner will be a tough out in region, but the winner of Kingston/Tyner/Tellico will do good to avoid Alcoa in the sectional.
