Brett Connor from Knox Catholic is one of the top guards in the state as a sophmore. He averages 16 a game, and can shoot the lights out. Either Brett or Albert will when sophmore of the year for the KIL.

Keep your eyes on Antonio Mitchell from Dyer Co. He has really started to shine in the last few games. Now i understand why Gomab liked this kid so much.He really is as good as advertised.

Definitely agree with you about Ricco Ralston, he's one of the better sophomore guards in the midstate area. He can do a lot of different things and will only get better. Waverly has several quality sophomores, 6 of the Tigers top 10 players are sophomores to go along with 1 junior and 3 seniors.

Zac Walker, Columbia Central. Isn't a big scorer yet, even though he can shoot the lights out when he needs to, but can handle the ball, and his passes are awesome. He plays a mean defense and can also jump. Sees the court exceptionally well. Calm and controlled when he is on the court. Doesn't play like a soph.

There are a few others that are also very good, but those are the best ones that I have seen.

Most definitely Ricco Ralston! As a sophmore he has great talent, also unselfish as swamptiger posted. In my opinion I dont think Daniel Puckett could hang with Ricco. Good Luck Tigers

i think bryan morris needs to be in there. he is a 6ft 1in. point guard, for tullahoma. he is probably averaging 10 assists 8 points, and 5 reb. a game

By the way, Ego, when did Colin Cunningham become a guard? He is a #4 man AT BEST and an average one at that! Since Jordan Mincy and Michael Rice are sitting this year out, they hardly qualify as "BEST guards" this year! Where are their numbers to prove that? Sheffield is languishing at 3-3 vs average opponents so how does that qualify Josh Stafford and Henderson as Great guards? Please keep up with what is going on before you publish some list and authenticate it. Just say it is your personal opinion, based on ???.
