I don't know anything about Farragut, but they should get a pretty easy win over Johnson County. Johnson County played in a tournament up at Science Hill earlier this month and Science Hill beat them by 48 pts. The next night Johnson County beat Tennessee High by 10. Johnson County really doesn't have any depth.

Fulton and Cleveland ought to be a war. Cleveland's football players have been playing together longer than Fulton's. Either way, Fulton's defense is topnotch and should disrupt Cleveland's O. Bearden and Howard in the second route looks nice. This has to be one of the better fields in a while at the Super 16....

The first day of play saw 3 good games and one blowout.

Howard came back in the second half to beat Jeff Co.

Bearden dominated Oliver Springs from start to finish.

Cleveland handled Fulton the entire game.

Farragut pulled it out against Johnson Co.

Todays matchups are

Jeff Co. vs Oliver Springs

Fulton vs Johnson Co.

Bearden vs Howard

Cleveland vs Farragut

The big question is, if cleveland would have won the game against mccallie would they still consider it a scrimmage game, i dont think so . whether they had their footballers or not should not come into the equation. did the fan pay to get in, did they sell concessions, and were there officials calling the game. duh sounds like a game to me.

First of all, the hall of fame games were like exhibition games in college. They were simply preseason games that did not count officially on the schedule. Exhibition games do not count in college either. The money from the game did not go to the school. It all went straight to the TSSAA. Those games were simply fundraisers for the TSSAA. Those games were optional. Not every team in Tennessee played Hall of Fame games. And to be quite honest with you, some teams just counted the hall of fame game that they one and didn't count the one they lost if they went 1-1. So if Cleveland wanted to they could just count the game against Riverdale and be 13-0 instead of 12-0. Simply stated, those games were optional and the way each school counted them was optional. Cleveland is now 12-0!

    • Gleason all over west Carroll in scrimmage. Gleason is big and fast
    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
