I have seen some good B-Ball already this year. The best players in North East Tenn. (in my eyes are):

 

Azmar Blye (D-(hitting everything now)

Henry Williams (D-

Jarrod Wooten (D-(just needs to take more shots, shooting 70% from the field)

Bradley Blair (GHS)

Malone (GHS)

Vince Redd (Eliz)

Odem (SH)

The very best player is Chucky Lindholm of Volunteer, and he is a Soph.

I have to disagree, Chucky Lindholm is not the best basketball player in east tennessee. That is just stupid.

What do you base your assessment of Chucky on? Have you seen him play? Do you know his stats? Do you know he has played good against DB (2x), TN High, and in the Bahamas, along with the other games? Chucky is just averaging nearly 20 ppg, 9 rpg, 2 asst per game, 1.5 stls, and only 1 t/o per game. Who else is averaging those numbers? And if they are, are they a soph?

One that I think has been left off is Rocky Nichols of Hancock County. Only time will tell who the best is but Lindholm will certainly be in the mix. Over the last five or six games maybe more (Stokemo can tell us} Chucky has scored well over 20 points and in the thirties in two or three. Against Clinch he only scored 11 because the coach did not play the starters much because of the over matched and out manned team he was playing.

 

Let us also remember that this thread is about NORTHEAST Tennessee and not East Tennessee. I do not think Maryville is in Northeast Tennessee. Maryville is south west of Knoxville. To me Northeast Tennessee is no more than everything east of Knox County or what is sometimes called Upper East Tennessee.

Daniel Singleton of Rutledge should be included. He's averaging 18 ppg with defenses always geared to stop him. Scored 35 yesterday against Sull. South to lead his team to win.

very athletic, plays his role well on the great Elizabethton team

6-5 or 6-6, dunks the ball with ease and also has a nice 15 foot jumper

Matt White - Unicoi County, sophomore

16 ppg, very efficient, good all-around player

Chucky Lindholm - Volunteer, sophomore

dominate inside player on both the offensive and defensive end, lots of potential
