I think two dangerous teams that are o.k are Soddy Daisy and Ooltewah. Ooltewah has lost some close games to very good teams and are a young solid team with no seniors at all.The thing with the Owls is they can heat up from the outside and are dangerous. They are good this year and then watch out next year. Soddy is a respectable team and is led by Mr. Everything Lance Sexton and then they have a very good big man that is injured and will be back soon. I think you have to watch out for both teams. They didnt have a good start but will finish strong.

first team i can think of is the girls teams from halls.they are 1-10 right now and have been in every game this year.there only win was against memphis mitchell 55-51 and mitchell had trenton peabody by 4 ponts in the fourth quarter before loosing.the patrick girl scored 44 points against humboldt and lost 70-69.coach meeks has always gotten his teams ready for tournament time.although they have lost alot of games,i can tell there improvement has started a little earlier.i remember one year halls went to the substate with 5 wins and lost by two points.that same bunch two years later went 28-1.you never know how much improvement can lead a team.look at university school turning around a 2-25 season in mens basketball this year.

I agree with the South Doyle pick. Their December schedule was murder and they hung close the entire time. This team never quits. They put on a show in their Christmas tournament, winning all 3 games with ease. They should perform well down the strech. Oh by the way, they have everybody back next year, and their 2 best players are a freshman and a sophomore.

    • I have no affiliation with Maryville anymore outside of being a 2nd generation graduate from a large family of Rebel alumni. That relationship ended courtesy of the lame duck AD (a Bearden grad I might add) and the HBIC. That said, I could care less if a private school comes through and offers every promising athlete out of that school or any other school better opportunities.
    • A perfect example is for athletes at Clinton High School. I will completely understand, and hopefully everyone should understand why they want to, and as of right now, it looks like that’s going to happen in numbers over the summer.
    • I mean, that’s easy to say when it hasn’t happened to your school that often, if at all, but yeah, I think everybody should be for the student athlete or player. Whatever they think will help them or their athletic career, I feel like they should be able to do that, even if that means transferring schools. Now I don’t really get that when you have almost every offer you could want and then jump ship, but what can I say? I guess money talks.
    • I for one am all for it.
    • Covid killed the city because they chose not to play football in the 2020 season. Therefore, kids weren't able to practice and develop, and continuing to lift weights. Memphis basically had 7/8 graders, skipping a year, then playing 9/10 high school football. Now, there's only one team that has made a "dent" which will be Southwind (made it to the 5A semifinals last year).  If you want to go more suburbs, then it'll be Houston, which won the 6A state title, defeating Oakland Other than that, I agree.
