Giles eradicated Loretto (part two!)

First topic was deleted so to recap...Giles beats Loretto 70-41 in a VERY sloppy and dirty game. Lots of credit to Loretto who played very well on their home floor, but really just doesnt have the firepower to hang with Giles Co.

 

They may make some noise amongst the other teams in the district come tourney time, and if you're lucky may get another crack at the Bobcats! Good game Mustangs.

First topic was deleted cuz it was off the sub if u know what im talking about wade. Anyway, neither team played that great. Loretto shot great from beyond the arch but GC def was too much causing alot of Mustang turnovers.

Yeah, very sloppy game but Eric Howard should get SERIOUS looks from D-1 colleges (mid-majors anyone) this kid can flat out pick your pocket. He's one of the quickest guys I've ever seen and to be of small stature, he's pretty buff. Also Brandon, do you have MSN or AIM?

I think Tyler had just one dunk, and missed another one. Then again his game isn't all about dunks and oops.

I am a die-hard Giles County fan. I graduated from Giles County and grew up watching the CATZ play ball. However, I must say, last night was the most disappointing show of sportsmanship by a coach,fans, & players I have ever seen. The CATZ played a very good game and I can't take anything away from that. I don't understand why 4 or 5 of the starters were still in the game w/ 3 minutes left and a 30 point lead. If it was just for the dunks (and it was), that is wrong. Giles County had proved its point that they are a much better team than Loretto, they shouldn't have kept trying to rub it in. Don't get me wrong, Loretto showed some poor sportsmanship, but Giles County was truly disappointing. Good game CATZ. As for the CATZ fans and coaches, show some class for goodness sake!

giles co. poor sportsmanship will be the exact reason they don't win state. i can't wait to theses guys face someone on their level. how about you guys go up to lipscomb and play them and then lets see if you run your mouth anymore. yeah you guys are killing everyone in the district because most of the district doesn't have a dominate big man, marshall is on a down year. so giles co. you can be satisfied with your blowouts of mediocre teams.

Giles County has showed up ready to play for every game this season (you could argue about Columbia game however) and have only lost twice to two excellent opponents. (Columbia and Bob Jones High in Huntsville a 6A school)

 

Right now, the Cats are for the most part on cruise control until the rematch with Columbia at home on the 7th of February. Marshall Co. seriously scares me though because of the fact that this is a big rivalry game and we all know how teams step up against their rivals.

I agree with you wneely and they did show poor sportsmanship but so did loretto.

It was a very sloppy game. I thought Loretto did a great job of keepin Tyler from dunkin, and gettin easy points. Tyler didnt really have his game, but the rest of giles co. stepped up. Loretto and giles both showed some poor sportsmanship, but giles the most. I cant wait until one of these days when giles plays somebody whos alot better than them, and they get smothered. probably a good example is ezell, or columbia. peace

Yeah, you're right 0-11 Ezell-Harding REALLY scares me. What a joke. If not for the three players returning there wouldn't even be a mentioning of Ezell-Harding anywhere on this board.

rp44, trust me that is not the guy you are thinking it is(lol) im positive!!! Giles had a off game and didnt dunk as much as i was exspecting.Best thing that came out of that game was that atleast our student section stayed in it, and that this time we never gave up. I just cant figure out why Giles had Tyler in with 3 mins. left in the ball game. Anyways best of luck Giles County!!!
