Could this rumor be true?

I was told that Riverdale did not certify any of their wrestlers weights? Is this true? Does that mean that none of them are eligible for the region tournament? Someone help me out here. Riverdale has a couple of guys that could make some noise at state...

Unless I am wrong a wrestler must have certified to be eligible to wrestle in the Regional Individual Tournament. If it is true that the Riverdale coaching staff failed to do this, then the school should be looking for a new coaching staff. Let's hope that this is only a bad rumor!!!

This very thing happened last year in region 6. One of the schools failed to certify their wrestlers and they were not allowed to compete in the regional tournament.

I don't think this could be true. Riverdale has a pretty smart coach. I wouldn't get too excited about this rumor.

This is not a rumor. I have talked to riverdales coach(first year coaching)and they indeed have not certified any of their wrestlers. This is a shame because their 152 pounder was extremely talented and he is a senior. They said they are talking to Tssaa trying to get something done but we all know what is going to happen..the same thing happend to lebenon in '98 and their whole team was ineligible...
