iamoz
Whew. Word is that the game was a great one for both sides, excitement from the jump to the final buzzer. Oliver Springs stayed near its average scoring mark at home, while Kingston brought the guns and fired in step. Three in double figures for Oliver Springs: Hall 20, Seiber 17, Hackworth 16. OS91
My grandfather called and told me it was an exceptional game. He said Kingston played tremendous. The Lady jackets should be proud for playing tough. I think these two teams will meet again for the district championship at OS. Should be an tourney at OZ. iamoz
What may very well overshadow the girls game is the guys' 19-point victory over Kingston tonight. That officially put to rest a nagging 14-game losing streak. Posted by OS91:My grandfather called and told me it was an exceptional game. TheAnswer9
Now all OS has to do to sow up the #1 seed is beat Scott County on Valentine's Day my friends. I know that if both teams win out they will tie at 9-1. However, it is my understanding that in case of a tie the Lady Cats drew a #1 at a preseason meeting which would make them top seed in case of a tie. goosevol
This game was a classic. It's one of those games that you hate to see either team lose because both teams left it on the court. I thought coming into the game that the Lady Jackets were not scared of playing at OS and they weren't. I hope these teams meet again for the District 4AA Championship, the Region 2AA Championship and while we're at it, let 'em play in Murfreesboro too. swamp
Kingston girls made just enough mistakes, and Oliver Springs made just enough plays (including sinking their free throws in the game). Kingston only had 4 or 5 bad possessions the whole night, but that was all it took.
swamp
I don't think it'll be tied; I don't know if Kingston can win all 4 district games remaining (3 on the road).
