Best player in district1

Vince Redd is the best player in this district.

Chuckey is running a close second.

 

 

When you look at the MVP you decide who would you like to have most on your team and its hands down Vince redd ( a D1 player in football and Basketball)

Because Vince is going to a D-1 school to play football and they are going to let him try out for the basketball team does not make him a D-1 quality basketball player. Would big D-1 schools (ACC, SEC, BIG 10 etc.) have recruited him soley as a basketball player?

He is not trying out he is on the team. If he did not play football he would be playing basketball at TTU or UTC who wanted him bad. Those schools are D1

Besides that he is the best player in our district and is a senior so he should get player of the year.

It's true. He is a senior, but he is not the best player in the district. I don't believe he will play much basketball at Va. Redd does have the best surrounding cast (this year) but Chucky Lindholm is the best player in the district.

 

Further, opposing teams cannot pack the middle on your team, but they do on volunteer, and Lindholm still has the best stats.

#1 He is not the MVP on his team much less the district.

#2 He is not the best post in Carter Co. "Robbie Tolley, Cloudland"

You think that Robbie Tolley is better than Vince Redd. He is not even the best player in that conference. I'll admit that Robbie is a good player but put Vince on any team and that team would be hard to beat.

Same goes for Robbie, put him on Unaka's team and they would give EHS a game. It is Vince's size not ability that

makes him a basketball player. Take him off of EHS's team they still win district I. Take away BJ and they're two or three.

You must be joking. Redd is a bruiser, plain and simple. Redd is talented, but not MVP. Compare stats with the Lindholm kid.......... no comparison. Look at their head to head stats...... no comparison. How much playing time do you think a 6'7"-6'8" post player with marginal shooting skills will see in ACC ball? When he gets there he will be playing aginst players as tall as or taller not to mention as strong as or stronger. Please try to be objective and the answer will be clear. Don't give the award simply because someone is a senior that has nothing to do with it..... it's an MVP not MVSP. (most valuable senior player)

MVP should go to the best player, not the best Senior (like someone previously stated). Chucky, by far, has gotten more rebounds and more points than Redd. Vince Redd is a very good player. I feel we will be watching him on TV one day, but he shouldn't get the award b/c he is graduating. His statistics do not match up with Chuky's, therefore Chucky desrves it.

Even if it didn't go to Chucky, Redd wouldn't be #2. Laseur from Central. Just because your team wins the conference shouldn't automatically give you rights to MVP. Just like coach of the year shouldn't either. Coach Hardin's son could win the coference with the team that is there this year. Coac Mac @ North hands down coach of the year.
