I wish the best for Betsy and they are by far the cream of the crop in this area but no tournament should be played on a teams home floor. When you can play every game up through the sub-state game on your home floor this give the top team even a greater advantage. I just think a netural floor is the most fair thing to do for all teams involved. Then no one has that extra advantage. I don't think it would factor in this years AA tourney but if you ask Central this question where would you rather play Elizabethton at tonight, Treadway Gym or Viking Hall bet I know what the answer would be. Just a thought

Cental doesnt play Betsy tonight its Friday night. The girls play tonight for the championship. This is where the coaches voted to play at and knowing that Elizabethton could possible be in that situation. We dont hear any of them complaining about it so why should you? Or is this just another one of those just because its Elizabethton im jealous things that seem to happen with some of you?

It would be nice if the District and Regional tournaments were played on neutral floor, but where??? It is an advantage for Elizabethton, but this year's team could play anywhere and win this thing. They are that good (and no I am not from Elizabethton, not even Carter County). The only problem I see with the Watauga is that I am told that the coaches vote on where it will be played each year. This is a distinct disadvantage to Central, Volunteer, and North. With most of the teams in this conference from the Elizabethton area, how many coaches are going to vote to have the tournament at Central, North or Volunteer. Do you think Johnson County would want to travel an extra hour to get to Volunteer? Probably not.

    • Think he would be better suited to save our baseball program. We struggle to win 5 games a year but noone wants to talk about that. Could even coach from the fence across the creek should he continue in his extra curricular activities.
    • He probably works at the high school.
    • I'm going to say  1) Coalfield 2) Oz 3) Rockwood  4) Greenback
    • Mancoverage sez: This thread has been an absolute delight! Absolutely marvelous! Such eloquent and rosy prose, contained here in, is so seldom found amongst the more jocular subset of our species. The brilliant author behind such poetic use of an obviously deep and broad vernacular, reminds me of the other-worldly talents of Oscar Wilde. I humbly thank you, kind sir, for so generously sharing your elegantly loquacious gifts. The Goat sez: You better watch your back, Lord Byron, I’m sure poetry isn’t the only talent and passion that the author shares with Oscar Wilde.
