New Signees?

Has anyone signed or commited lately?

Kristen White of Hendersonville. Just received

a "PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP" offer from Maryville, and is

also reviewing offers from Sewanee, Rhodes, and Auburn.

What is commendable about this? --- These are all

offers of the "cerebral" variety, of the academic kind, of

the intellectual type.

 

Kristen, also the senior SS and who either holds or is on

track to break most all the Hendersonville hitting records,

was also expected to receive offers for her athletic prowess, but due to having her priorities in order, will

accept an academic full ride scholarship, and walk on at

the lucky school that she picks, just to play ball for fun!

 

Way to go Kristen! Congratulations! It has been a pleasure to watch you and coach you since you were 9 years old.

You are the epitome of a student-athlete. Congratulations

also to the fantastic job by your parents in doing a great

job!

I had the honor of witnessing the signing yesterday...I don't think I've ever been so proud of a student...all the hard work that Maeghan has put into becoming a great softball player...all the sacrifices that her family has made to help her realize her potential...all came to fruition when she put her signature on that piece of paper...

 

I know her family is very proud of her...and so is the SCHS family...thank you for allowing me to share in this shining moment for my Dorris... GO LADY OWLS...GO WILDCATS!!!

I believe that another outstanding middle Tennessee pitcher (Sarah Hickerson) has signed with an SEC school. I predict she will accomplish great things at Mississippi State.

 

MSU is off to one of their best starts under new coach Jay Miller.

my best friend will be playing somewhere next year. As soon as she gets this whole financial aid thing figured out and how much the college will give her I'll let y'all know (don't want to throw a premmie out here)...

 

...But I am very proud of her. She's my best friend, and she's the reason that I'm playing college baseball now. And QueenBee, you'll probably be seeing her play during the Gibbs Tourney on March 28-29...

Sarah Clapsaddle RF from Coffee County has signed with Tennessee Weslyen(sorry I feel dumb but I can't think of how to spell it right now). Not only will she be playing softball but she will also will be goaltending for soccor. Way to go Sarah!!
