kmw50, there you go with only saying Oakland and Riverdale. Look at the roster from Blackman the last 3 years. Not everyone came from Oakland and Riverdale. I will say a majority did, but not everyone. Oakland and Riverdale are not the only places where you become a good fotball player. Anybody can become a good football player. It is all in what you want to do!!!!!

Lilpeashooter, don't worry, your not asking too many questions: I want to keep this thread alive some how. Bigshow graduated in 2002. Did you happen to play on the football team with me and Bigshow your senior year? Could you tell me who you are so I could find your picture in the yearbook? If you don't want to give your name away on the internet I'll understand. By the way Ralph Stembridge is playing at Cumberland right now and is soon to be joined by Rico Turner, Zach Gilliam, and possibly Will Redding.

 

 

Wildlymild, do you know why Derente Frazier is leaving? My opinion is that he was the best running back that they had this year, especially because he got that really long T.D. run on us to give them the win in the playoffs.

 

 

Shuttlesworth, one of the only reasons that Oakland has beaten Rivedale in the past and Blackman hasn't is because Oakland has had like 34 chances to beat them when Blackman has only had 4 chances. It doesn't take a rocket scientist or a brain surgeon to figure out that the team that has played Riverdale more has had a more chances of winning. Du!!!!!! And another thing, I have played football at both Blackman and Riverdale and the work ethics are the same. Both teams bust their butts as much as the other. One reason that Riverdale has been able to come back and win some ball games in the past few years has to do with a little bit of luck and the fact that they have built a tradition as a winning ball club.

 

 

Bigshow, I didn't know that you had a heat stroke and that you aren't at UT-Martin anymore. I'd like too see you playing for Middle some day, hope fully soon and I hope you get healthy fast. Hey, you ought to come up to school one day when your not working so you can see all of us. One thing all could do is have another OLINE cookout at Coach Watson's new house like we used to. Make sure that you keep in touch Bigshow, a.k.a. "Lurch."

I saw this post earlier, but didnt really think anything about it. the one i am talkin aout is the one that says derente frazier is the best runningback riverdale had. I have to disagree. He was ok for a sophmore, had alright speed, but coulndnt take a hit for crap. in our first game against them, maurce crawford hit him once by the sidelines,and he didnt even get up. he rolled of the field. i think that tre dalton is beter than him. i think thats his name. but that spike dude, while not being as good as everybody said, is pretty good too.

olineathlete, the reason that I said that Frazier was their best TB is because he is the only one that gave us much trouble when we played them, but that is my opinion. However, in the first game, Dave Thomas started at TB and did pretty good too.

Dave Thomas is the most dangerous guy with the football that Riverdale has. I can't wait to see where they line him up this year.
