After extensive and intensive research on this weighty issue, I have been able to discern fragments of extremely long cycles similiar to those discovered by Nikolai Kondratief who first quantified the 50-60 year Kondratief Wave cycle that bears his name, who used the grain markets as a proxy for his research on the effects of long-wave cycles on the economies of the world. We can expect those who currently dominate a sport, such as Maryville in football, MUS in tennis or McCallie in rock climbing, to experience periods of domination interspersed with periods of mediocrity. Of course these cycles will take 50-60 years, so I've willed my research to my grandchildren because I will either be dead or too senile to really care what high school teams are doing in 2050. I won't be around to prove my theory but I'll bet the TSSAA will still be in a lawsuit with BA.
