Red Bank Coach

I have heard from a very reliable source that the Coach from Soddy Daisy is going to take the Red Bank job. I know he is a RB graduate and maybe this would be a perfect match.

Does anyone know any more about this? Why would he leave Soddy? Help me out!

Chris Bird is graduating from UTC... He would be a

great coach.,and anyone would be lucky to have him.

Chris Bird at Red Bank!? That's too good to be true. He coached at Lutheran when my kid was there and he was fantastic. All the kids loved him!

 

He taught the kids the ABC's of wrestling fundementals. Moreover, he taught them character and the power of believing in oneself.

 

I can't think of a finer candidate to fill that position.

Coach Henry is the best Coach at soddy right now and he wouldnt leave us at this point at least, It is true he did graduate from Red Bank but it is nice to have a fellow Red Bank beleiver in the midst of all the Soddy folk.

There are several other UTC wrestlers graduating within the next 6-8 months that could be potential coaches around the area: Quantal Langford, Craig Johnson, and Ben Smith.

If Steve Henry didn't have a great team coming up at Soddy he would take the job in a heartbeat. If the new coach at RB can't get the job done and Henry loses some of the talent he has at Soddy, He'll be at Red Bank within 5 years. Once you've got that blue and white in ya there ain't no goin back.It's destiny.

I feel the same way rblionstub when you say that once your blood runs blue it wont go back, but part of that blue blood is knowing that you shouldnt give up on somthin youve started and Henry has started somthin great at Soddy and he wont put an end to it!

If you think Steve Henry is going to Red Bank you're crazy! Why would somebody want to put hard work into building a program like SD Wrestling and then take a step backwards and start from scratch. I think I would have some insight if he were at all interested in moving. The Red Bank job would be a great opportunity for a young coach looking to build his own program. The tallent base at Red Bank is very good and if a coach is willing to put the time and effort required Red Bank could be one of the top teams in the state again. I hate to disappoint the people who think Steve will make the move but I will more likely become the next president of the united states before he becomes the next head wrestling coach at RB.

Chris Bird fits the bill of a young coach willing to put time into building a good program there. He would devote himself to the program and his team. I hope the right people are listening.
