Who is the best pitcher you've faced this season i

I was just wondering who some of the top pitchers are in the state in AAA baseball. THe reason i say AAA is because i don't want to know about some kid throwing 70 -75 mph batting practice to the plate. Who is the dirtiest, hardest throwing, intimidating guy out there? I know that griffin from tullahoma and gray from columbia are two good ones for thie category. WHo all do you think?

I have seen Ryan Steen of Hendersonville strike out 18 in a 7-inning game, with a no-hitter into the 7th and Stuart Pomeranz of Houston pitch 8 shutout innings, with a perfect game thru 5, a nohitter thru 6, with 19 strikeouts, 1 hit and 1 walk...

 

Didn't face them. Just watched them....

Stuart Pomeranz has struck out 34 in his last 2 games.

It's ridiculous to suggest that the only good hard throwing pitchers are in AAA. Your classification has nothing to do with how good you are, only how big your school is. Now if you think logically there may be more good pitchers in AAA than there is in AA or A, but that is because there are more kids who go to those schools. If you compare 1500 students to 500 students, it only makes since to have a few more talented players out of the 1500 than out of the 500. That's the only difference.

 

Right of the top of my head, two guys who break 90, not to mention really know how to pitch, in the AA Watauga Conference are John Broyles, Unicoi County, and Brandon Summey from Sullivan North.

Jeffrey Lykins of marshall county is definently one of the best.

The Lykins kid from Marshall Co can bring it at around 90 and the Smithson guy from Page can throw in the mid 80's. Their both good pitchers who can throw their curve for a strike.

I think kenny griffen from tellahoma is one of the toughest pitchers i've faced this year

I forgot his name...but that pitcher is an all rounded player

basketball...baseball...left handed...

he can hit almost as good as he can pitch!!!

and when I seen him play

the Milwaukee Brewers were watching as well!!!

Didn't he hit a 3-run homerun the other night? If memory serves, he struck out 11 in 5 1/3 innings against Riverdale at the Reservation? He is a pretty good pitcher for a basketball player

 

And yes, there are some good pitchers in AA and A and Division 2 as well. Bennett of Covington is tough.
