There are more than two players from Riverdale's team playing and there are two from LaVergne playing as well Grimes and somebody else.

It is my understanding that the Grimes kid is playing in another all star game! You can't tell me that the #2 team in 4 5a doesn't deserve to have 1 or 2 players in that game! The Blaze had 3 or more sign college scholorships!

The coaches at their school have to nominate the players in order for them to make the team. You may want to start there when you call things ridiculous. Kinda like Ed Mayes no making all region but being all state.

Franklin's coach nominated several players but not one got put on a team. Maybe there weren't any players talented enough to play but that's kind of hard to believe considering the season they had. The QB Josh Reffegee and the LB Cody Green are both talented enough to play in the game but that is just my opinion. Anybody else have any thoughts? And no, I'm not being bitter at all, just kinda puzzled.

I don't know what to tell you. A committee looks at the coaches nominations from their school and selects the team. If your coach nominated the players I can't explain why they were not selected. I agree Franklin had a great season. I am not sure who is on that committee it may be the coaches who are going to coach the team that year.

My buddy and future cousin-in-law lol Bobby Clift from Lewis Co will be there dominating. I know that the game is still a couple of months away but it's all he talks about, he is really excited. Go Bobby!!!!

Glad to see Bobby from Lewis there...Aaron Cothran from Fairview will be with him.....can't wait to see these two guys from Region 5 hook up...it's going to be great....

SLIM, your right. It is RIDICULOUS that not even Rico is playing, or many other players out of 4-5a.

It is crazy. No body from oakland got it. Only john carter was nominated, but he didnt get it...i know tere are better d-ends than him in the state, but he is a great one. strong and fast....he got jipped if you ask me

I'm glad Cothran is going to play too, it's good our region finally getting some credit and recognition. I'm hoping Bobby's going to let me wear his jersey to the game. lol There's going to be a Bobby Clift fan club there, would you like to join?

Dang straight...I'll join if you join ours...lol....I know there were a lot of great atheletes that didn't get but for sure these two boys deserve it.....Our Region is as strong as anyones.......see ya there!!!
