Looks like to me the poll has a little bit of a East Tn Flavor....but it is your opinion I guess. In AA, South Side doesn't really belong in there that high, and Covington needs to be higher. Marshall County belongs near the top in AA. Ridgeway in AA is not really that good, although they have an excellent record, look at their schedule. In AAA Farragut is the best, and Houston, Riverdale, Oakland, Blackman, Germantown, etc. need to be in there towards the top. The AAA state tournament, with 8 teams will be a dandy! In Class A, the best team is JCS, followed by USJ, CCS, and etc. No Way JCS is #5 with their schedule (played all four #1's in the TBCA poll) and by beating USJ twice. Huntingdon in class A should get a few looks, too.

How can Columbia Academy be ranked 4th and Friendship be ranked 9th. CA lost 7 games by 57 runs. FC lost 6 games by 18 runs to very good teams one of those being CA by 1 run early in the season but then turning around and handing CA the worst beating they took all year winning by 14 runs. At least this is what can be gathered off the WIN/LOSS rankings on Coach T I read in some thread that CA got Beat by Forrest 25-9 on Tues.Thats 8 losses by 73 runs

Someone posted that CAK has a weak schedule. Yes, some of the teams in District 3-A (which we have to play) are weak, but Greenback is solid. Additionally, CAK has played Bearden, and had Webb and Catholic scheduled, but were rained out. CAK has wins over AA schools Anderson County, Union County, and Alcoa (just this past Monday). CAK will be ready for the tourney after a recent stretch against good teams.

AAA- Farragut has the best shot to win. They will probably be challenged by Houston, Germantown(who gave Farragut their only loss), and Riverdale..(possibly Mt. Juliet).

AA- I don't see anyone upseting Lexington vs. Walker Valley for a championship game/series.

A- Single A seems to be the most controversial subject at the moment. JCS probably has the best shot to win it. They will probably be met by Goodpasture or USJ in the championship. If it wasn't for JCS's talent and coaching this year USJ would probably win their 3rd straight.

--- The polls really mean nothing. We will see who the real number one's are in the end. Untill then the polls are only predictions. GOOD LUCK TO ALL COMPETETORS CHALLENGING FOR THE TITLE!!!

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
