khopkins
District 8 is well represented and has a very good possibility of sending 2 teams to state again this year. The championship game had a lot of energy. Early on things went Lipscombs way, and they took a 2-0 lead in the third inning. However, Greenbrier was able to rally in the fifth inning, scoring 6 runs. (Ironically, that was the same time AHOP had to leave). They are definitely a quick team that can make contact with the ball. With the exception of one line drive out to right center field, they kept the ball in the infield and used their quickness. Although aided by a few Lipscomb errors, they earned the win tonight. Great hit by Kristyn Gumz for Lipscomb! Congratulations to both teams. I look for Greenbrier to take care of Sweetwater. Lipscomb can handle East Ridge, but will need to find another gut check as they did last Friday. Good luck to both teams. I hope to see you in Memphis (oops, I mean Southhaven, MS). Teddie
Haha i see your a God fearing man with all that superstition khopkins. But hey i understand baseball and softball are different, there are some things u just don't do....leaving a game early is one of them. Congrats to both teams for a good season. good luck in sectionals/substate... whatever they call it now.
