pccoach
this is the reason that i am putting the info on this site so maybe some players and parents can see this and spread the word to other players from other schools who's coaches don't care enough to tell their players. this is a great oppurtunity for a kid and also region 5/6 has in the past had the least amout of participation from their region.HELP US SPREAD THE WORD, PLEASE
muffin
What is the cost of the tryouts?
pccoach
this the great thing about the tbca showcase, it is free to try out and if you are choosen the only cost will be to get to mtsu, the coaches association will pay for the players to stay in the dorms and they pay for your food in the cafe. on campus, where else can you go to a showcase like this, most showcases today-someone is making alot of money off of these families, not the TBCA
bbcoach17
Who chooses the players who will make these teams? Is it the coaches who are hosting the tryout? If not, how are the coaches selected?
pccoach
we have been rotating the coaches around the last several years, most of the time a coach is an assisstant coach 1 year and then is the head coach the next, we usually decide who the coaches are @TBCA clinic in jan. and yes the coaches that are holding the try-outs are ones that choose the teams

MrBlack
I have been looking at this post every since it came out. I just got to say, last year the best players were not chosen for this showcase. I could name the players but I will not do that. I hope I have not hurt anyones feelings but i felt this had to be said. I am not trying to disencourage anyone from trying out, but just be prepared you may not make it.
jtbase10
Mr Black...... Those BEST players you mention are based on your opinion! It would be wise to not make a statement as you did without mentioning the names of players you felt were overlooked. If you have reason to believe what you say, then by all means do not hold anything back. Otherwise, I for one would appreciate it if you keep your opinions to yourself!! MrBlack
i apologize for my statement earlier. jtbase i did not mean to ruffle your feathers. i hope you accept my apology. i thought the board was to express your opinion in a good way. i will not post anymore, just read what you all have to say. bluefan2
How can an underclassman attend. If they are feed for free and free rooms then isnt that a violation of the NCAA. Even when you go say to a school for their spring football games you have to pay for your own meals. It sounds great but please put my mind to rest about the rules. TigerJ
What do you need to bring if you try out? Does your coach have to recommend you to try out?
