Finally back.

 

My son played in the 1999 freshman game against Oakland where it was 58-0. I remember it being 20-0 about two minutes into the game. Oakland fumbled two consecutive kickoff deep in their own territory. My son started both ways, and he did not play after the first series of the third quarter. Oakland just fell apart in that game. I probably could have scored against them that day. Well, probably not, but they did not play well at all, and Riverdale was extremely talented.

 

As to Rankin running up the score, sometimes he does. I would like to think it is because he knows that in the playoffs, you have to be in condition to play a whole game. If he took his starters out every time Riverdale gets up by 14, in some games the starters would only play two series. You have to get the reps in. Also, if you watch they way Riverdale substitutes after every play, you have to figure they have about 15-16 starters on each side of the ball. It is not unusual to see 4 players run in and out between plays. All of those guys are expected to contribute during the playoffs, so they have to play. And when they do, they usually play very well, which leads to some of the scores. I hope that is the reason.

NOT TO RUIN THINGS AND GET THIS TOPIC BACK ON TRACK....... .........BUT IS IT TRUE THAT RUTHERFORD COUTY SCHOOL SYSTEM MAY NOT BE ABLE TO OPEN SIEGEL SCHOOL NEXT YEAR BEACAUSE OF LACK OF FUNDS? IF THIS IS TRUE WHAT ABOUT ALL THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN HIRED TO FILL POSITIONS THERE?.......JUST A FEW QUESTIONS TO GET THIS WAYWARD TRAIN BACK ON TRACK..........

From what I have heard, everything is on track and the school will open on time. The only issue is that the stadium will not be finished, so Siegal will play their games at MTSU.

Yes, siegel will open. We have already started lifting weights there and although it may not look like it from the outside, construction is moving pretty good on the inside.
