WOLKE INVITED TO ELITE 11 CAMP

According to the DNJ, Smyrna QB was invited to the Elite 11 quarterback camp in Las Vegas. The camp invites the top 12 quarterbacks in the nation. Congrats david

That makes since the elite 11 invites 12. <_< Anyway that is pretty awesome good to see a middle Tennessee kid getting that kind of billing.

What does everyone think? Was Smyrna better (more dangerous) last year when they implemented the run or 2 years ago when it was simply Air Wolke?

Being invited to the Elite 11 in Las Vegas means that he is being invited to tryout for that group. There will be many of the top QB's from all over the country at the tryouts. Another Tennessee boy going out there is Corey Russell from Powell Valley (Cumberland Gap in the fall). I have not heard of any other TN boys going but good luck to the 2 boys who have been invited.

According to the paper, Wolke is invited to the camp, with only 11 other qb's going there. they invite 12 for housing and other purposes. but, anyway, it said that he is invited and going the end of July...i dont know what u mean by try out...explain...

o, and croach, to answer ur ?...personally we(oakland) had more trouble when they were the big air threat. so,i think that when they went with the spread offense they were more deadly...

Wolke has been invited to the try out for the elite 11 camp. There are to my understanding about 200 kids on that list. I know of 3 middle tennessee boys on the list including Jarred Elliot (page), Wolke, and Russell

oh, well its my understanding that he was invited, and is one of only 12. thats what the paper said, and what i have been told by several other people, including a few coaches. but, that doesnt mean they are right..

You are correct Flip 96, it is only for a TRYOUT for the Elite 11. Trust me, I have seen David Wolke this spring, he is not a Elite 11 QB. He is good, but not that good!

About 12 players for every position would be about right for tryouts.

The Las Vegas camp is only one of four tryouts for the Elite 11. The actual camp is in California, and right now around 600 players have been invited to tryout at the four locations. There have been more than 12 players for each position invited, but to be invited shows you are a top player in that position. For anyone to say that they are actually part of the Elite 11 in their position right now has been mis-informed or they are just "hyping" themselves up. I hope all the TN boys that have been invited to the tryout do well.
