EAST-WEST SHRINE GAME THIS WEEKEND

The two guys that I am going to be watching are T.T. Harper and Aaron Cothran.These were the top two running backs in the state and both were up for Mr. Football in 2A and 3A. Now lets see how each one of them do against the rest of TN.

Derek Milligan of Powell will be wearing #5 for the East squad. Milligan rushed for over 2,000 yards in 2002, and was a first team all state selection and was a finalist for the American General Mr. Football Class 4A Back Of The Year Award.

 

He and T.J. Brock are going to help give Carson-Newman a great one-two freshman punch out of the backfield.

No, Milligan is going to be a tailback. Coach Sparks told me that in an interview I conducted with him shortly after Milligan signed with the Eagles.

 

One of the reasons Milligan chose C-N over some bigger schools was because he will be given the opportunity to play tailback. Marshall, among others, offered him as a DB.

I agree, that T.T. has some terrible moves and very swift. I think it will be a good game tonight.
