I think boyd buchanan will have the best D in 1a this year. Last years was very good but this years is better.

I think that Trenton will have a good D in the region 7 2a. They had a decent D last year.

Mitchell had a tough defense last year and return 8 starters.

Ridgeway will have a very tough defense. They return 8 starters from last year's team that posted 7 shutouts and only 39 points in the entire regular season.

South Pittsburg always has a very tough defense, and i dont think this year will be any different because they are returning almost all of their starters.

Dobyns-Bennett.....not exactly the tallest defense, but without a doubt the hardest hitting defense in the state. Every player on the DB Defense even the backups are exceptional athletes. With the speed and mobility that comes with this defense, they have a chance to be by far the best defense in the state and maybe in the school history.

if what you say is true, and cleveland's defense is gonna be really good this year, it should be a defensive showdown opening week b/c i'm looking at a really strong morristown west defense this year, i hope they can come through like they have the potential to, but it's all determined on the field obviously... so if you're looking for some hard hits, m'town west vs cleveland... i'll be there
