C.A.K. Girls Team Camp

Watched some girl's games at C.A.K. on Tuesday and Wednesday. Saw William Blount vs Oliver Springs play on Wed. afternoon. WB won a close one.

 

Not sure if the Hall girl was there ... I think she was. Is she #10??? playing point guard? If so, she was there.

 

Reason I'm asking ... WB's freshmen point guard, Angela Puleo, was unquestionably the best player on the floor. You can ask anyone there, from either team, it's undeniable.

 

Of course it's just summer camp, but it sure adds some excitment to WB's girl's program.

After seeing what she did the three days preceeding the CAK camp appearance, I wouldn't expect to see her anywhere near a gym for at least a couple of days.

 

Playing seven full-length games in only three days against top competition will take a lot out of a person.

I talked to her mom today and she said Laura is not feeling that great. She had strep throat at the Jr. Nationals and I don't think she is close to 100%, but she loves the game and is playing with OS today for sure.

I don't want to trash Laura in any way. I know she is a blue chipper. I was just real surprised how well the young freshman from Blount did and I actually wondered if Laura was even in the line up because I have never watched her play.

 

I'm no where close to saying Puleo is a better player yet, but I don't think it is a stretch at all to say she was the best player in the game on Wed.

 

Fatique and illness on Laura's part would explain alot.

I talked to some people there today and they said she's definitely a very good player.

I remembershe put an end to our (Norris Middle) to our perfect season during the 2001-2002 sectional at Jacksboro by helping the William Blount Middle team beat us by 2pts, like 38-36 or something like that. Pueleo was real good then, too!!
