billygoat2
Central will make willy blunt wonder why they ever started a football program come Friday night. maryville should handle an inexperienced alcoa team this week. Hopefully GQ and staff can work on their "smoke and mirrors" offensive package a little more before they face the bobcats. Heaven know they don't stand a chance running their regular stuff. (just like in last year's championship game)
REBELRON
Billygoat doesn't know football or wrestling. Ron Fuller is not the wrestler that said "nose to nose toes to toes and jackin jaws" Bob Armstrong said that
pepvol
billygoat , you seem to be obsessed with "rasslin" and MARYVILLE FOOTBALL ! does your mommy allow you to have pin up posters of all your favorite "rasslers " along with your favorite maryville football team . i wonder what dr. ruth would have to say about your obvious obsession with grown men in tights ??? TruRebelPlaya
GovMan - How's Ronnie Phelps doin as Head Coach? Do you think he's an improvement over previous coaches? I think that William Blount just might pull this one off, if they want it badly enough. Central is supposed to be fast, but I would take technical skills over speed any day of the week. That is why Maryville always does well, even in "down" years. Good Coaching is the first building block. Central had quite a few penalties against Greeneville. Now it could just be some of that home cookin, but it could also be a sign of an undisciplined team. What do you think?
billygoat2
ronnieboy, I never said that the stud was responsible for that quote. It's good to see that you and sars are checking out the wrestling websites to check up on my accuracy. You guys need to get off the computers in the electronics department and get back up front and do the job they hired you to do - greet people. pepboy, the stud isn't wearing tights. As for obsessions with men in tights, you'll have to ask your mom about that.
1footballfan
Central had quite a few penalties against Greeneville. Now it could just be some of that home cookin, but it could also be a sign of an undisciplined team. What do you think? I was at the game, and I would say both. There was some serious home cooking going on. I think the final penalty count was 14 (Central) to 4 (Greeneville). Now Central may have committed 14 penalties, but Greeneville had just as many that did not get called. I remember specifically a late hit on Central's QB on the Greeneville sideline and a clip on one of Central's young guys in the 4th quarter right in front of the ref. There were some blatent misses. I wouldn't say that Central is undisciplined, alot of Central's penalties were first game mistakes and jitters. Fortunately for them, it isn't their first game anymore. But it is for WB. Good luck to both teams. This should be a good one

4AFAN
Maryville has the numbers and have had them for years. That is the key to there success. If they don't have bodies they would not have won 4 out of the 5. When you have quality back ups you can be successful. The thing that Central has is that it has speed, lots and lots of speed, and speed to back it up. Edited August 26, 2003 by 4AFAN

susie
Hey boyz! Good to hear from you all on this one! I think the outcome will be the same as it was in 1999! The govs will beat the bobcats in a close one! Phelps is doing a great job from what I can tell! He inherited a relatively strong program from Coach Reed, who inherited one from Coach McMahen. Whatever happened to Coach McMahen? He was successful at William Blount and Heritage and you don't hear much from him anymore. I mean I know he is on the radio, but is he teaching still? I heard he went to Heritage to watch Kate play. I also heard he was selling insurance and not teaching at all. Billy Goat, it is always so refreshing to hear from you! Love you boyz! JohnPaul
billy goat, i don't know who you are but i like you brother. finally everybody is dogging someone besides myself. keep up the good posts, and give the murvill fans h, e, double hockey sticks.I still do not think they smell what the cats are cooking, but they will find out soon enough. make sure your coaches have tickets to the game because there is no pass gate at central.
