Here's the situation if I go to the game I'm going to need some directions. I 'll be coming in from 840 so ya'll help guide me in. I am somewhat familar with the Boro but landmarks are good.

Wolke as far as I know did not get hurt during the Gallatin contest....things may have shifted in favor of the Blaze.

840 will merge with 24. Stay on 24 til you get to the Murfreesboro/ Franklin exit 78a. Veer on the Franklin exit off 24. You should see a Sam's Club. Go straight on Old Fort Parkway. ( you will pass an O'Charley's , Hardees's < Kroger, Subway) iT BECOMES hIGHWAY 96.Stay on 96 til you get to Fortress Drive. It will be TWOl miles out on your right. I think there is a small sign that says Blackman High that is blue.Continue staight til you get to the stopLIGHT. ( you will see Blackman Elem.....turn left at the stopLIGHT. You will see the stadium on your right. There are probably more accurate directions on the Blackman website . Traffic will be heavy, so leave early!

I have seen both teams play! (blackman-lincolnco) & (riverdale-smyrna)

I think it will be Smyrna their defense really inmpressed me I saw no defense from Blackman and who was it that said people are affraid to kick to locke kid-Lincoln Co. kicked to him several times and he could not hold onto the ball!

Smyrna all the way!But I will say Blackman seems to be a better team than they were agianst Lincoln County but they haven't impressed me like Smyrna BUT good luck to both teams have a good game and hopefully an injury free one!

stumpman13, trust me we are not the same team that played against LC. We gave up what like 51 points in that game, since then we have given up 20. That was also our first game, so Marcus Locke prob. had the jitters. He had never been to the pit before, but Seigal as well as Brentwood tried their best not to kick/punt to him. :D

shady, I agree with you. Don't hold the LIncoln County game against the Blaze. That's gonna happen to more LC opponents this year....and the Blaze has improved dramatically. I really thought the Blaze was gonna whip Brentwood. I pulled as hard as I could for 'em.

I saw Wolke against Riverdale. He has got to have time to throw the ball. Riverdale was all over him. Ya'll can do the same.

By the way, I've seen Edmiston from Lincoln County, also. I'd pick him over Wolke.

I totally agree with shady04. I saw the lincoln county game and i thought the season was over. THen i thought we just got lucky at the siegel game. But at the brentwood game i saw a completely different team. I think blackman got all teh bugs fixed and they are now a fighting team. I predict that blackman is gonna beat smyrna friday night by at least a field goal or a touchdown.

Well, how does everyone see this game's outcome now that Wolke is out? I know Blackman isnt really changing their game plan. That stinks for Smyrna only 2 days to prepare w/o Wolke. The advantage clearly goes to BHS.

heck ya, i can see 82cat now saying "well the reason we lost was because Wolke wasn't in the game".

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
