1. How well do you think a little ole 1A school will do against ya'll?

 

2. What's the best way to get to Morristown from Bryson City NC? (Ten miles west of Cherokee NC on the other side of the Great Smoky Mountains)

 

3. What's the best way to find the stadium for Morristown?

 

4. Why in the world is this game being played on a Thursday?

I'm not a West fan, but I used to work as a sportswriter for the newspaper in Morristown.

 

1. You might have trouble scoring; West's defense is pretty tough.

 

2 & 3. You couldn't pay me to go through the mountains to Gatlinburg, which is shorter mileage wise...I would go from Bryson City on the road (74 maybe?) that runs by Harrah's all the way to 40 and then go West until the I-81 North split and take exit 8 (Morristown, White Pine)...then you go to into Morristown and get off on Morris Blvd. (11-E) and turn left...then go to the intersection of Morris Blvd until you get to Morristown East HS...the stadium that both schools use is on East's campus...it is called Burke-Toney Stadium.

 

4. I have no clue...I didn't think it was on Thursday, but I don't keep up with it that much since I'm no longer at the Tribune.

Pick Member schools, in the area school name put in Morristown in the second space and hit "submit Query".

Then pick Morristown-Hamblen High, scroll to bottom of the page and pick a mapping site.

uhhh, the game is bein played on a thursday probably becuz we don't go to school on friday.

They are playing on Thursday beacuse East is playing there on Friday.

Don't take those directions, Coacht only thinks he is helping you.

If you take those directions you will end up at West High, about 4 miles from where the game will be played.

And by the way, quit acting like your so much of an underdog.

Morristown knows what your team has.
