Celina, Pickett County and Red Boiling Springs are all loaded this year and any could go to the state.

Those three will have to get passed the Gordonsville boys to have a shot at the state, because that is where they are headed this year. Starters are strong and bench is deep. Austin, Harville, and White will be strong senior leaders and carry the Tigers all the way this year!! GO TIGERS!!

Bolivar looked extremely good at the MUS Shootout this summer. They played White Station to the wire and ended up losing by only 6 I think. Their starting group is really strong and they have an assortment of players that can come off of the bench. Kemp and Lake are real talents, and they are well coached.

They will be tough to beat...especially on their home court. It should be a great match-up between them and White Station on the 18th, also the match-up between them and Raleigh Egypt on the 21st.

Antioch has the best chance in 12aaa, but only if there coach comes up with some new kind of scheme or something. Also watch for Glencliff, Stratford, and Whites Creek. If Jermont uses his team other than taking a million shots a game. They may be able to get there. Stratford has the height and the experience they need at guard to get them there. Whites Creek has the fire power at guard to get them there, if their big men come around it should be very interesting. Maplewood doesn't have a chance without their big man Barry Gardner. They might as well play for years to come and see how far that takes them.

mcminn county wont make it out of regions, and possibly wont make it out of the district, i dont know anything about cumberland county this year, but they should be fighting for the 4th spot in the district all season

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
