pantherfanatic
Mike, Chuck, and David are all related. I think all of their moms went to different high schools together. We lots of good coaches in Portland and they will get us by a tuff SC team this week. One reason we beat them a few weeks ago is because Coach Temple helped our coaches on how to stop too tightends. donhaney
David Pack is at CPA... Mike Pack returned to Lewis County as an assistant this season and has been a big help to the staff. He was the head coach of the Panthers from 1978-1982 where he went 46-12 including a three eyar period when he was 34-3. He took the Panther's head coaching job when he was only around 25 years of age... Pack left Lewis County in 1982 and coached two years at the University of Tennessee and then several years in Georgia. We are very glad and very fortunate to have him pack as a steady influence on the team. I think that Coach Kelly Spivey (Defensive Coordinator) is defintely a future head coach. He is young and a quick study and will no doubt move up the ranks some day. He is originally from McKenzie where he played high school football and has been at LCHS for, I am guessing, 7-8 years. Gov
What makes a great assistant is someone who is loyal to the head coach, willing to work within that coaches system, and has success doing it. No doubt Paul Wade of CPA has proven that. He is someone who has three state championship rings from two different programs. Most good head coaches surround thenselves with good coaches and let them coach. Coach Pack understands that and has surrounded himself with good assistants and gives them the opportunity to coach and succeed.

Rebel Nation
Jim Gaylor at Maryville has to be one of the best defensive coordinators in prep ball in our state. It doesn't hurt that he used to be a head coach in Maryville's Region as well.
football_guru
I think the best coach is a guy that is a free agent right now. I don't know where he is, but his name is Coach Richardson, central high school last year. He was the defensive coordinator and he did a great job. He had the respect of kids as well as other coaches, and if i were still playing, I'd play for him. He knows what he is doing and he brings the intensity on friday nights, trust me. Wherever you are, uncled, we need you if we are going to win it all, and especially to beat maryville. 460003[/snapback] I stopped by practice today and Richardson was back out there, I don't know if he is there to stay but he was out there coaching...he's a good man. PredatorXL
By far, Jim Grantham(Off. Coord.) and James Honeycutt(Def. Coord.) are both two of the best asst. coaches in this state. They are what makes White House the consistant team they always are. Keep up the good work guys and lets continue to see White House on top and as always very competitive. shaunman2006
i really think that Coach Wampler in Campbell County has done an awesome job with turning the defense around since he has come in. in the years before him we were an all offense and no defense team. now that has kinda switched and i think that his coaching is one of the main reasons for that. Guest region4fan
Oakland has the most enthusiastic and knowledgeable coaching staff around. It is apparent that they love the players and love the LORD. To me that is an awesome combination. The assistants are: Coach Cowan, Coach Richie,Coach Glover, Coach Rogers, Coach Mitchell, and Coach Moose!! There is none better!
