Hey floppy eared friend,

They are never going to get it finished. They can't find the money to finish it. They county can't bring in enough revineu. They have no industry, no factorys and they voted out the uranium plant which would have brought in $10 mil a year.

Maybe they'll move Fleetwood to Hartville, LOL. Nestle Water is All WE NEED> ssshhhh.

The revenge played a part, but it was more Peetown thinking they had it in the bag.

Maybe Portland did think they had it in the bag. The two games started out the same. Why wouldn't they end the same. But I was on the TC side and I heard the boys talk all that week how no one believed they could win and how they were really embarrassed the way they played the first time and how they intended on doing something to gain a little redemption to their self pride. This game is different. SC thought that they could have won the game and thought they should have. I bet they are determined this time to score when they get in the redzone. And ask the Portland fans and the Trousdale fans which game is more important. If Smith would have beaten TC in the quarters last year, which would have set in the minds of the players more. When they beat SC 29-6 for the region championship or when they lost to them. If Smith beats you guys you will understand that the title of Region Champions don't mean anything if you can't repeat it in the playoffs. And revenge does have a great deal to do with it. I've seen it work.

What about when TC faked the field goal. Even I thought they were going to kick it. TT took the snap and pitched back to Satterfield, then TT goes out in the flat, Satt just lobed it to TT for the first down from about the 5 yard line. The next play was a penalty. I forget the yards and down, But Satt throws TT a pass and he is one on one. TT made just one great move on the Peetown player, leaving the him scratching his butt and TT scores the go ahead TD.

MAN, WHAT MEMORIES!!!!

(You should be rootin for us Pee, now I going to make ya pay)

I remember that game as well. What a play on the fake field goal. I read in the paper that TT messed up the play and wasn't supposed to go out for a pass. Good thing for us that he did because Satterfield was fixing to get clocked. And that move TT made to get into the endzone. Oh my. I don't know if you MC fans saw the TC game last year but he had what I believe is the best punt return I have ever seen for a touchdown. And talking about punt returns, I don't know if any of you all are old enough to remember but back in like the early 70's late 60's can't remember the year that Mo Celsor returned a punt against Lafayette and everyone for Lafayette said he stepped out of bounds but he won the game with it with like 45 seconds to go in the game. That was a great game between MC and TC. Wish you boys were old enough to remember that one.

    • Worst thing SC could do is get rid of Dyer. I agree with everything said above.
    • Jada Hart, Jasmine Bailey and Kaitlyn Patterson the first two being PG's are all good guards and can handle ball pressure and are good players. Raven Wells will be a good post. There were games this summer where any one of the one's I mentioned were in double figures. Gibson County will control TO's much better this year and they will press more and get back to playing faster. AA is down across the board. I have been all over watching ball. Alcoa jumped to AAA and Jackson County moved down. to A. No telling who wins it this year. I agree Union City, Westview and Gibson County will be a dogfight and must see basketball. Poster insuated that Gibson County has a mental block against Westview. Well give me Maddie Gray and we line up last year and they wouldn't have won a game. Let's see how Westview does this year. Their starting five last year had three transfers in it. Rogers from Obion, Trevathon from Greenfield and Gray from South Fulton. Looks like they swung and missed with the girl from Florida this year so let's see how they do playing with kids from Westview. Gibson County has a really good 7th grade class this year.I have done learned you play with what you got and work them hard and develop them and see what happens. Just keep battling and see what happens. I like our team this year. Very athletic. Every year is the same with injuries and can be catistrophic to any. I watched GC all summer long. South Side and GC was very evenly matched and was a classic war.We had some quality wins this summer. Beat Huntingdon, Henry County, Bowling Green, Liitle Rock Central as well as a couple other quality Kentucky Teams. Westview's talent pool may not be what it has been without transfers the next few. And as far as Wilkins riding off into the sunset, where do y'all seem to think he will leave?? Wilkins is a healthy dude and he loves basketball and loves coaching. I wouldn't be suprised if he coaches a few more years. He loves the game and loves every minute of coaching.
    • I think Gibson County is a top five team this next season but I do agree they will drop off a lot after this year.  Westview lost a ton and will be down this season and hopes of returning to glass house again is slim.  The run they have had is super impressive!
    • My take on GC for this year: Based on what I saw last year and heard this summer, I’m not sure GC could surprise me next year with any outcome. Wilkins is a great coach - they could win the district and region and go to Murfreesboro. They could also come in third in the district and not get out of region. The two returning starters are very talented but Guru is right that they didn’t always play hard last year. The other three starters are good enough in their roles for GC to be successful. There is no depth. Foul trouble could be a problem - Wilkins may avoid it by playing a lot of zone. An injury would be catastrophic. I hope they have a big year and Wilkins rides off into the sunset in Murfreesboro because, without some significant transfers, there are some tough years coming in the next few.
    • Daniel Boone coming down to 3A makes this much tougher. They added a couple transfers to the Flores girl. Cocke Co, Northview, Greeneville, and Daniel Boone - only two headed to Murfreesboro.
