lipscomb beat goodpasture 43-41 saturday night. mantlo hit a last second three to win the game for lipscomb.

Daniel was out of the game in the first quarter because he was ejected...so the two points that was shown for him isnt what to expect from him.

Hume-Fogg is now 3-0. They beat Ross View on saturday 57-50. Renfroe put on a show with his 2 dunks, one of which he caught off the rim on 2 defenders. Hobson had his steady 16pts. Although they lost a valuable player in Harriford last year, they are playing more as a team this year and are a big threat in 8AA. Their post play has improved a lot by Robinson inside. They play their first division match against East Lit. on tues. which should be a good game.

Why was Daniel ejected?

I saw on another post that Daniel was ejected for pushing a Lipscomb player. Portland is off to a good start after pulling off a hard fought victory against a very tough East Lit. team, that plays very hard and are unbelievably quick. They will be a force in the district once they get Smith back. Portland is 4-0 with victories over Beech, Harpeth, Westmoreland and East Lit.

The game came down to a 3 pt shot at the buzzer by Lipscombs Will Mantlo for the game winner. Goodpasture's Ryan Daniel was ejected in the 2nd period for pushing a Lipscomb player. This actually fueled the Goodpasture team and they ralled around the ejection. Goodpasture couldn't guard Lipscomb's motion offense and some early fouls led to them going zone. Lipscomb was slowed by the cougers zone. This was a classic Lipscomb/Goodpasture matchup. Lipscomb held the lead most of the game until a Goodpasture player hit a 3 with a man in his face with about 1 min. to go. Both teams played really hard. Good win for Lipscomb. Lipscomb does a great job of getting alot out of there guys.
