Quarles leaving Maryville?

Looks like Jeff county pulling out all the stops to get George back home. Some boosters have arranged some water recreation for GQ. The question is does he want the pontoon on Cherokee lake and jet ski on Douglas, or vice versa? This in addition to affordable housing in patriot hills and an increase in the wheel tax "for education"

This thread was started 12 years ago. Eventually Quarels will leave, retired by choice, too old to coach, or for somewhere else...but it won't be a case of "I knew it, and told you so 15 or 20 years ago". It's pretty evident that George likes what he has going at Maryville...he could have had his choice of jobs long ago, and is still there.

May happen sooner than you think, pal. Lot of rumors swirling around now

Stopped at the exit 417 for petroleum tonight. Counted at least 3 "bring George home" bumper stickers. Went inside to get a couple choklit drinks for me and mudslide and overhear some people talking. Apparently GQ was spotted on Douglas lake riding a red and blue jet ski and wearing a JCHS football t shirt. The saga continues.....

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
