I saw a spot on ESPN about the Garrett family and all the coaches that have come from this one family. I started thinking about TN high schools and wondered how many father-son, brother-brother, or even in-laws out there.

Two brothers are David Barger head coach at Lake County and his younger brother Chad Barger the D-Coordinator at Sequatchie Co.

I know this is not really the family you were talking about, but I was wondering if you (someone) would/could build a coaching (family) tree.

Like what guys have played under John Tucker, Gary Rankin, or Carlton Flatt that have become coaches. And then coaches from them.

I had forgotten that Coach Black's son was at Fulton. What a special experience that must have been for Mama Black when Fulton won the title.

It was very special for the WHOLE family! All of the current coaches at Fulton except for one were coached at Fulton by Coach Black, Sr. It has been many years coming for him to get this State title and oh how sweet it was! It was a tender moment to see Coach Black Sr. & Jr. embrace on the football field after the victory!

Jimmy Williams who is a past coach and is currently AD at Shelbyville HS. He has two sons coaching. Matt is the O-Line coach at Smyrna HS and Mark is the O-Line coach at Gallatin HS.

I bet you enjoyed the title in much the SAME way that Boston and Robbie enjoyed it!!! I would even go so far as to say that you may have even had discussions with them and Mama Black about the achievements of the team and staff throughout the season!!!

If, by some twist of fate, see the Blacks or any of the coaches in the coming months, tell them Congratulations for reaching the Milestone. It couldnt have happen to a better, more dedicated group of people!!!
