each year GCHS plays teams in the lawerence county and surrounding district (county) and its like a football game. they cant distinguish between football and basketball. is that coaching or the player just dont like to see a dunk? remember its only 2 points correct me if im wrong. so lorretto and other team, this years lets play with respect and if they get a break away dont go under them or knock them into the stands please!!!!!! some of them do have a carreer after basketball!!!

I agree with you tcross, Loretto is known for trying to hurt Giles county's team . Loretto got beat by Fairview which Giles County beat by 57 . They know that it is not going to even be close so they do not need to try to hurt anybody . Let's just hope the ref's will have this game well in hand.

I wish I could add something to what you guys said, but you said everything about this game. I agree with Tcross that Tyler should sit out, unless Giles County is struggling...probably not going to happen. Loretto is not the only team that tried to take out Tyler last year...what about #20 from Page. Obviously, that was the players decision, because he didn't step on the floor the rest of the night. I don't believe in beating these boys by 30+...they probably should be a in A instead of AA. Let the boys play and when the score starts getting out of hand, put the second string in. We know they can get the job done, they came in with a 25 pt. lead against Lewis County and they ended with a 25 pt. lead.

I agree that Tyler shouldn't play much in this game, but not sit out! This is the type of game that helps out his high light reel! It really doesn't matter if we bring in the 2nd team in order to appease their team and fans, because they're just going to dunk on them too! I say we let the 1st team put on an and1 show for the first half and then we get ready for the Wes Carter show in the second! Mark my words; if Wes gets a break away he will hawk one before the season's over!

I just don't want Loretto's fans getting all worked up like last year! They should just sit back and enjoy the show! I really hope Luke Lamm makes an appearance! I haven't seen him in a while, and I wouldn't want him to miss out on reliving the memories of Shay shooting in his face, getting dunked on, and getting swatted every trip down the court! I'm sure he'll be throwing up a few fingers just like in his glory days!

Shouts out to Chi and tcross! I'm sure ya'll will be there for the circus!

Willy, Lukes little brother Mark will be playing tomorrow night, so I am sure Luke will be there. I talked to him a while back and he remembers getting dunked on...he was joking about it. I hope Channing throws down another dunk like he did against Lewis County...now that was impressive. That kid has got major ups. We know Tyler will get his chances, but it is good to see the rest of the guys have fun to. From what I have heard, Michael Kendrick (PG) has really improved this year and is doing a good job for Loretto. I remember that move he threw down last year at GC when he went behind his back and finished with a reverse layup. Anyway, this game should be a crowd pleaser....well at least for GC fans...LOL

I talked to a few of the players today, and they know how it gets. They said that first string will probably go out after the first quarter. I guess that's for the best considering how Loretto takes losing. Oh well I think our second and third string should play a good while anyway so they can get plenty of experience for next year.

    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
    • I'm from Cloudland and we've never played a sectional game.  We need to win tomorrow night to avoid that bus ride.  Us and north greene can play with you guys so I'm expecting good games whoever the matchup is.
