TN RANKINGS - First Posting

Best, I have to agree with matrat. Tinsley is wrestling the best I've ever seen him wrestle. If things go according to the seeds we'll find out about 5:30pm tomorrow. It should be a great match either way.

Well, Coleman dominated Tinsley for the first period then pinned him last year in the state finals. Jake Graham(160) of Collierville beat Josh Johnson(Antioch) like 9-2 or something close to that.

i dont know all that much about other teams, but as for soddy daisy, i think the 103lbs. should be ranked 2nd or 3rd. with the right draw he could be in the state finals. i also think fuller at 130lbs. should be ranked, and thurman at 160lbs. should be ranked. but that is only my opinion. rankings dont mean anything but it is always fun to look at and see what everyone else thinks.

Its nice to see rankings on here they are always fun to debate and keeps the Coact community updated on results of matches across the state. I believe Overton should be in the team rankings along with Centennial, and the young MBA team. Also Father Ryan beat Clarksville 55-9, so I also believe they should be a little higher.

This is the best attempt at ranking done this year. While there will always be some spirited debate until the state tournament (and then probably after as well), TN ranker is updated on many of the ongoing matches, etc. This is more than I can say about some of the other rankings put out so far this year.

I do not understand your rankings for 160 for DII your show Bateman for Ryan. He hasn't had a match due to injuries. Tyler Mayo is starting @ 160 and placed 2nd this weekend at McCallie. Losing to McEachern's 160 who was the GA state Champion last year. Locally he had pins in the 1st period vs FRA and BA.

I think it's about time ryan got some due credit as a team. They placed third this weekend at Mccallie, and didn't even have a 103, 112, and oddo is out of the line up for a little while, and mondelli was out sick. They overcame this to still beat McCallie.

I would agree with NAME. Based on performance to date, D2 should be Baylor way out in front followed by Ryan and then McCallie. Rankings should be on performance not potential.
