Region 7

I know last time a thread for region 7 came up the only thing discussed was the bickering of a few 189's and 215's. But does anyone have predictions for who will win the region tourny? I know there will be some very tough matches, so I was just wondering if anyone had preditions on how the tourny will go.

Clarksville wins 39-29 over Kenwood. Coach Masters refused medical help for his 130 and then allowed his kid to win due to the injury. The same kid with an injured shoulder had the same arm raised as winning with out showing any pain. Kenwood was doing everything to win. The official called an illeagal full nelson for only one arm under the neck, the other hand was no where near the head. In fact the Kenwood kid was in crossbody and the other hand was used to base with. The ref made this one up I think.

This is what I wrote before the match.

If I knew a little more about the full line ups it would help. That's how I see it. What do you guys think? By the way, this is not intended to offend any Clarksville fans. It's just my very neutral prediction. Good luck to both teams.

sweat, it's time to let go. Where was Rohally? Seems as if Kenwood had some injured kids. Looks like Baker did better than some people expected. Congrats to the wrestlers, coaches, and the fans (even you) of the Clarksville program. I hope we see you too. I never said Clarksville wouldn't win. I never said I knew everything about region 7. Give me a break. I think I have a decent overall knowledge of Tennessee wrestling, but don't expect me to know everything. I don't know how coaches will bump or which wrestlers will be injured. Take it easy. The last thing I want is for some region 7 junkie to throw it in my face every time I'm wrong on some prediction. I do this for fun, not to create tension. Besides, I don't think Clarksville's coach appreciates all this negative/boastful attention that you are drawing to a very well-respected team. Ok, fine, you beat me. You are the king predictor from region 7. I submit to your all-knowing greatness. If you want to talk about what could happen at states, I would love to discuss it in a slightly more civilized and less hostile manner. Otherwise, see you next week. :D

    • Congratulations to Huntingdon and Station Camp. Lots of good softball in Tennessee. Alcoa been media favorite last two seasons.
    • Im more of a Basketball follower than football and like I said we play what we have, there is no going and recruiting or even talking kids into transferring…..and to rebut about Memphis teams in finals I’ve watched Memphis East and Penny Hardaway with the enrollment of a single A team play up and dominate any and all challengers for years! They aren’t the only ones either Mike Miller and son at Germantown put together that super team a couple years ago that ran through the rest of the state! Other teams from Memphis or Chatt or Nash or any large populated area pop up and are relevant out of nowhere every year because they get an influx of talent be it from a new coach or AAU affiliations it happens in football also just like any other sport! I hope these two schools that close join together and get to play the team you support, then you may see it differently! I find it funny some of you think recruiting and resources don’t matter . The county schools get very little funding also but you don’t want to get me started on that part!
    • In a total classless move, Coach Simmons once again shows his true colors. Waits till the day after school is out to let everyone know he is leaving. Fails up to a community college job after a lackluster 2 year span at GH. And do not tell me about the state run that saved a sub .500 season and plenty of whippings by Cookeville and Lebanon.  Looks like the girls job at GH is cursed. Terrible MS program/coaches feeding what is turning out to be a joke of a HS team.
