Was Kenwood's conditioning a factor in the outcome of the match with Clarksville? Some of their wrestlers have struggled with conditioning in the past.

what if i played two sports? for instance soccer and wrestling. got the name from a pair of shoes i had and man united is just a good soccer team. and technically i dont think that sweattolose is on any team i think they may just be a fan. how did you come up with your name... just a question.

For the record and all you Clarksville people who know more about what's better for my team than I do. My 130 hurt his shoulder. When I pushed it down he could not hold it up. I told him it was over. The dual match was all but over anyway so I did not want to risk my kid's chances to go to region and state. Clarksville beat us fair and square. Congratulations. And yes Garza was pinned by Weakley.

To all of Coach Masters's critics: give the man some support for putting together a darn fine wrestling team. Is it just me or is he able to take kids completely unfamiliar with the sport and make them competitive in a very short time? It is a shame that both Clarksville and Kenwood couldn't put their best lineups out on the mat due to injuries and other problems. It would have only made the match that much more fun. All the credit in the world to Clarksville, but I think it is time that some people start giving Kenwood and their coaches their due props. And as to all the speculation about whether or not Cox could have or should have finished his match, bravo to protecting a wrestler's health and insuring that he will be able to compete later in the season, especially in a match that ultimately would not change the outcome of the team match.

Clarksville wins 39-29 over Kenwood. Coach Masters refused medical help for his 130 and then allowed his kid to win due to the injury. The same kid with an injured shoulder had the same arm raised as winning with out showing any pain. Kenwood was doing everything to win. The official called an illeagal full nelson for only one arm under the neck, the other hand was no where near the head. In fact the Kenwood kid was in crossbody and the other hand was used to base with. The ref made this one up I think.

I can tell you this, whoever the ref was, he was hand picked by the participating members of the region duals. It is the only match the coaches actually select their officials. And, I'll bet there were two on the mat.

i agree with gumbi, sometimes we don't always agree with a coaches tacticts but they do care for their kids and try to do what is in their best interest. Don't judge us as coaches until you have to sit in that chair yourself. nice post johnny and congrats to chs as well.
