I think three is a good predicition for Coach Lewis. I think a lot of people are forgetting about Jay Simpson, he will be competitive at 171 and stands a good chance of going all the way. If you ask me that brings the tally up to a possible four.

I agree. I think he'll get 3 this year. I know he will for sure be there on Saturday, but I think Friday is still being discussed.

the big man will deifnitely be there on Saturday but I heard he was appealing for Friday as well. I hate it for his kids if he can't be there with them but they do have a lot if good assistants to fill his place ( not that anyone could truly).

looking at the brackets for D1 I noticed that Bill Seamen from Mt. Juliet has a forfiet the first round. Does anybody know the reason for this. He is not even the top seed.

Marable and Manley getting best match but i think Nick comes out on top, he is in great shape and I haven't seen anybody as fast as him since Charles McTorry. Not to mention he is as technically sound as most anybody around.

Its nice to see the name Darius Williams on here. I saw this kid last summer in the offseason and let me tell you he is a STUD!!! If he keeps up look for this kid in the state finals real soon! I believe that he has a great shot at placing this year!

 

Stewart Cope was also mentioned, but if you notice he probably will run into Bird in the second round and those two have had a lot of trouble with each other this year, not to mention the winner will get Johnson from Bradley.

I have had the opportunity to see Darius (Dede) wrestle many times this year including a few matches bumping to get matches with our 112 Taylor Wynn. He has got a ton of talent and I know a lot of us are very interested in seeing what he does at state this year. I think a lot of those East Tennessee boys may be in for a surprise if they look past him.

The forfeit to Seaman has to be due to an injury or disqualification. The 4th place finisher in the region that Seaman was supposed to face fits into one of those categories. Therefore he receives a forfeit.

The Bradley region only had 3 placers this year at 130.
