hello RHSBASEBALL99,

Please find where I have put Rockwood down. And I full and well that Rockwood is a Class A school. I picked Rockwood over Greenback, Harriman, and University School to get to the State Playoffs in Memphis. I have said nothing but good things about Rockwood since joining CoachT.com back in February 0f '03. The only thing that I don't know is exactly where the school is located (as to the directions to the school). However, I do know that they have been to state 5 of the past 6 years, and that they were Top 10 pre-season Tennessee Class A in the polls.

I do not know the Eagle character, and quite frankly I don't want to. I do have one question for you though RHSBASEBALL99...where did you get that cool icon of the tiger coming up and jumping through the frame? I've been admiring that icon since it's been on-line...and that's been for some time now...

No offense taken...just please don't throw me in with the likes of an eagle...also I love that this thread is so long, that's the main reason I put a post on it...good luck in Memphis Tigers...lol, that's ironic

illpete, you have not downed us or anything like that. I did not make myself clear enough and I should have done so. 5eagle is the one that my last post was directed towards. I apologize for the misunderstanding, I did not communicate well. As RHS said, the directions were for you, and the rest was for 5eagle. lol I was not throwing you in with 5eagle, I could tell that you were on "our" side rather than his. Once again, I apologize for not being clear in my last post.

The icon is tough to explain. My dad put it on here for me. It is actually from Exxon or something (whichever gas station has a tiger) and my dad somehow got it to work on CoachT.

Thank you for the luck (we will need all of it, there are some really good teams there), and you are correct in saying that the Memphis and Tigers was ironic. lol

Peace, Go Tigers!

RHS,

Thank you. I figured that the rest was for 5eagle. I knew that came from the EXXON thing. That's why it was so familiar. Humm...well I like it. I could sit and watch that Tiger jump all day. Oh yeah...I was walking in Memphis with my feet ten...y'all know the rest...Keep on truckin' Tigers, and if you see an Exxon along the way...take that big cardboard sign of the Tiger and holdit up at the State tournament...boy would that be awesome

As much as I wish you luck, I hope you fellas don't underestimate Friendship. They have as deep a pitching rotation as I've seen, and their entire lineup hits. The other day their 9 hitter hit a grand slam to put them up 4-2, and they eventually won 8-3.

Just saying...don't think about Goodpasture just yet.

Thanks Longhorn, we do know that Friendship is very good. We saw them last year in Memphis. We came out on top that day. Of course, they will be looking to score some revenge against us. We have to play each pitch better than the other team, because, the one pitch you loaf might be the play that costs you a ballgame...

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
