How is BA and Byrne going to match up with each other. Who is Byrne's best player? Is Byrne an up tempo fast paced team like BA? And most importantly who will win????

Charles Hampton is Byrne's best player. He should be able to dominate Brentwood's guards, but may have problems attacking the rim with B. Wright hanging around it. If Gardener for Byrne is not able to make Brandon Wright play him honestly by knocking down a couple of outside shots, then byrne will lose its most effective offensive aspect, being able to get in the lane and kick and take high percentage shots

Thanks liljon. Dominate is a strong word. BA guards are not that strong after the loss of Bone, but have played against some good guards. I think Wright once again is the difference in this one. Turner must also step up his game.

BCS is beating Knox Catholic 33-22 with 4 minutes left in the third. C Michael Oherr has 17 of BCS' points and Fox has 9. The foul count was BCS 10 and KCHS 4 in the first half and currently stands at BCS 4 KCHS 1 which is making it hard for BCS to get in sink.

It was reported on another thread that Briarcrest won by a pretty big margin. That is second hand info, however. Not confirmed.

TSSAA reports on their website that Briarcrest won by 19, 61-42. Sounds like KCHS had a horrific shooting game. Fox and Conner were a combined 6 of 34 from the field.

From the stats on TSSAA it looks like BGA had a tough

night from the field. The free throw differential is pretty

substantial. Anyone from BGA or CBHS have any words

on the game?

Bit of an upset, I guess, although teams are very close in this tournament.

 

As a BA supporter, I can't say I'm sorry to see BGA gone. Not that I wish them any ill will, but they sure had the Eagles number this year. Hope they get to brag how they beat the state champs three times!!
