6-1 Ooltewah takes care of Mcminn Central....4-0 at half and had one of those classic everyone gets to play 2nd halves. Good Game Owls, but now its time to focus on Soddy.

Ooltewah Owls owned Mcminn Central last night. Obviously we played down to their level because we only beat them 6-1. Most every player got a chance to score, and we even took bennett out of the back just so he could get himself a goal. He took about 5 mins. and owned their defense, scored, then came out of the game right afterwards....so we didn't look cocky.

i am axiously awaiting the soddy game. i know golden will always show up to play, bennett will always be a physically dominating force, and jeremy is like superman in the goal. However, like most of the games it is going to depend on us putting the ball in goal and hopefully our attacking third(forwards/mids) can put the ball in the net.

The end of the 1st half of the McMinn central game is a good sign of things to come, after it was 5-0 at the half, the entire bench was subbed on. Everyone played in the second half that usually doesn't play including back up keeper Ian Salter who saw his first PT of the season along with others who were just getting into their first varsity game. Now it's on to Soddy Daisy, in which is a pivotal battler (obviously) between the two favorites of region 3 district 6 AAA, the Soddy Daisy Trojans and the Ooltewah Owls. Thursday at 7 at OHS.

Boo yaah! That final goal by the owls was spactacular! I believe it was...Bennett? He weaved through the defense and with a final burst of speed left the last defender nipping at his heals. With a final burst of energy, he placed the ball squarely in the side netting with his left foot...wow.
