With you losing 4 starters be prepared to stay home after disrict next year.Because Rikki can't carry you and if Val plays whole game she will stay in foul trouble.

playing against a tough defense and no being able to buy a basket is two different things. i hope they beat the heck out of your team next year.

Kauffeld is a wing and while she didnt play much last night, she did come up with a steal in the final minute that led to the tying free throws by Redd. Actually the Cyclones will return three starters next year, Baughman, Redd and Pietrowski.

Pietrowski started a majority of the time this year as as freshman.

Big girl from Pigeon Forge, Ramsey, and Pietrowski played each other pretty tough. Pietrowski had 8 points and Ramsey had 13.

In my opinion, the low scoring in the 4 games you mentioned is due as much to the pace of the game as it is to defense. The substate game against OS was a much faster paced game and the Cyclones still only managed 43 points. The pressure on the point guards and wings threw the offense out of whack.

And as djgiles pointed out the Cyclones beat themselves on many occasions in those games.

 

Next year you will see a confident team every time the Cyclones step out on the court. Beware!

I'd say so Unicoi County beat them by 19 low scoring game. Cyowns won more by other teams beating themselves more than anything. Cyowns maybe 3rd next year.

You are exactly right. The Cyclones only scored 43 in a low scoring affair. I guess the other team scored the 45, right? The Cyclones will be a stronger team next year for sure. They have an excellant feeder program, still in infancy, which is just now starting to show results.

By the way, the offseason feeder program, Twisters, will be hosting a tournament April 2-4 in Elizabethton. Games played on full sized courts. None of this playing sideways /two games in the same gym. Entry $100. Three game guarantee.

Open to teams 9 under to 17 under boys and girls. December 31 age cutoff.

First and Second Place trophies and all tournament teams for each division.
