MarkH
Craigmont hits a 3 at the buzzer to tie the game and force overtime and then hits another 3 at the buzzer to win the game.
MtJBears
Powell had the game won and gave Craigmont a chance. Why didn't they pass the ball up just past midcourt? There would have been no way Craigmont could have sent the game to overtime.
85warrior
Will Craigmont match up better with Shelbyville or would Powell have matched up better?
MtJBears
My opinion.... Greeneville was the only team that had a chance and unfournately the zebras took the chance away from them. Greeneville deserved better than they got. Everytime White brought the ball up court she was mugged. I thought hand checking was illegal. The technical foul on Manuel was an awful call. This gets ridiculous. Shelbyville can hand check and slap at the ball and push and shove and their opponent gets called for picky fouls... Go figure that one
greenwheel
The T on Manuel was pitiful. You don't make that call in a state tournament game. That may have changed the outcome of the game.
rkm99
I think that Shelbyville will take this one. Shelbyville is just to talented for Craigmont. I saw Craigmont play against Dyersburg in Memphis and really wasn't impressed with them, although they have made in to the championship. I dont think they will be able to match up. Shelbyville by 15. osbymartin
I think that Shelbyville will probably win it but I think that Craigmont will matchup better than Powell would have. Craigmont has to really athletic quick guards that should be able to handle the Shelbyville press, Powell guards I don't think would handle it well. Jackson will have the size to matchup with Fuller but probably not the talent. They better hope #5 isn't hitting because she isn't afraid to shoot and DEFINITELY doesn't need alot of space or time to get the ball off. Powell had their hearts broken twice tonight. Once at the end of regulation and again at the end of overtime. They had their chances up 6 with 18 seconds to go. WHY did she throw the ball so far down the court. I don't think Hollifield could have gotten to the ball even if she didn't fall down. They should have thrown it to midcourt not beyond. It would have been virtually impossible for the Craigmont player to steal the ball with her back to the basket and get a shot off. Well anyway just my take on things. PG23FHSWR1
Don't hate on Craigmont- a silver ball is better than no ball . . .
osbymartin
She was called for a foul and threw her hands up in the air. Not exactly worthy of a technical especially in a State semifinal game. It probably was the coach's call but I think the girl was too excited and maybe threw it farther than she should have. Any way it was unbelievable I almost felt sorry for those people that got up and left. They missed something special!! 1337b477er
I think Powell should have thrown the ball in at the end of the forth and hit some one in the back with it or somethen just neede to kill 1.5 seconds what a terrible call to throw it down court
switchplay
Powell did suffer two heartbreaks on Friday night. Everyone has their opinions on how that last inbounds play should have been handled. Why not show a little respect for the girls and stop insinuating things about the coaches. If you feel bad for the team say so, if not, then say nothing.
HTV
It was a good call from the coach, and had Hollifield's legs and those of the defender not gotten tangled, it would have worked to perfection. Good call - bad break on execution.
