I would say that the writer of the article didn't know that Bayor had beaten Bearden 3-0 in a scrimmage already this year and that they always have a better than average chance to get to the state tournament because of their coach. Notre Dame shouldn't be a pushover either, they have some really tough players and a goalie that won't be easy to beat. The article really didn't say anything about rankings but just about teams and individuals to watch. In fact in the text it only talked about one player on one team. Sounds like some of the posts I read a few days ago on this site.

I think they picked the best DII team, AAA team and A/AA team. Surely McMinn Co. is not better than Baylor or Notre Dame but who knows, the games have just begun.

They are preseason rankings... look at basketball season as proof that Chattanooga sportswriters do not do a good job of researching before the season starts

who cares about rankings? i think we should all show the papers and everybody else that it's not about that...just play soccer, prove the rankings wrong (or right in some cases)..i'd rather see a lot of great soccer this season than newspaper writers talking about how all they're predictions are amazing accurate..

naw mclove Im not saying that at all.... to be truthful its the second and 3rd place teams I have a problem with... i would put CCS 3rd t the moment and Baylor 2nd... I don't think McMinn can contend with these teams in the regular season... however you never know... the cherokees may suprise me
