How did MLK and Lipscomb perform in Orlando over the break?

MLK was 1-3, only win was beating a terrible 0-4 MBA team. i think DL was 2-2, and brentwood academy was 3-1 finishing in 3rd place overall.

four MBA players were supposedly kicked off of the baseball team and sent home for breaking team rules.

Actually, most of that information is wrong. MLK finished 2-2 and only lost to the team that won 1st in extra innings and 3rd in regulation of the tourney. Also MBA had six guys who were out due to their behavior but that's no matter because MLK has beaten MBA twice now. Brentwood made a great showing in Florida and so did Lipscomb, overall the Tennessee teams held their own agianst Florida.

I agree basscorner. MLK beat MBA at 7 Oaks here in town when all of their starters were playing. They also beat Tampa Prep 6-5. They lost to Colonial High who was in the Championship game 2-1 in 8 innings. PLUS, they beat MBA 10-1. Who cares if they were under certain "circumstances?" It is not MLKs fault that MBA's players were boozing it up with girls instead of focusing on playing Baseball, which was the whole point of going down there.

We played MBA in a scrimmage about a week before Florida. I knwo what you are thinking "scrimmage" so no one played hard... however, both teams played their starters all seven and it was a well played game and MLK came out on top.

 

I am not spreading rumors, that is from their team as it was told to me. I just went off on that tangent because I am tired of people not giving MLK Baseball any respect. People think because we are a magnet school that we stink or something when we have held our own against every team that we have played whether they be from TN or FL. But yes, I AM proud for beating MBA twice...a team that is "better" than us.

 

Aside from MBA, all the TN teams did extremely well against the FL teams who had already played 8-10 games. I believe that the real rumor is that Florida Baseball is so much better than it is anywhere else.
