It has come to my attention on more than one occasion Farragut's right fielder has made some spectacualr diving cathches which are second to her base running ablitly not to mention how she consistanly comes through in the cluch for her team. She has great mobitly in the outfield along with her strong arm which makes a deadly combination. Have anyother nominees for top right fielders in the state? Or outfielders in general?

I agree with goladygovs completely. I saw her play in the March Madness tourny in Chattanooga and the Crossville tourny a few weeks ago. I am impressed with her game as a whole, she has a complete game. But the one thing that got my attenion the most was her base running ablity. She has got a head on her shoulders on the base path. She seems to leave it all between the lines, and that's a sign of a real ballplayer.

Amy Josephson is a VERY VERY talented right fielder...as I like to call her "my stud" as I am "her ace." In fact, if anyone has recently picked up an issue of Sunday's Knoxville News-Sentinel, Amy is listed under the "Most Stolen Bases" category, second only to lightning quick Jessie Howard. Despite Amy's BROKEN HAND, she is playing in an extremely stellar fashion and she still has another year with us.

Greenbrier has a good outfield also... speaking of right fielders, there is a little junior (kathryn) who can hit the ball, make plays, and run bases! Their center fielder, Jessica, is quick as lightning, and if she gets on base will most likely score! Their left fielder, samantha, has speed and has an arm!!

I WOULD MOST DEFINATELY HAVE TO SAY THAT FARRAGUT'S AMY JOSEPHSON IS THE BEST RIGHT FIELDER IN THE STATE. SHE IS AN ALL AROUND BALL PLAYER WHO HAS A WINNING ATTITUDE ON AND OFF THE FIELD. NOT ONLY IS SHE AN OUTSTANDING DEFENSIVE PLAYER BUT SHE ALSO COMES THROUGH ON THE OFFENSIVE SIDE. AMY WAS RECENTLY LISTED 2ND IN STOLEN BASES IN THE KNOXVILLE NEWS SENTINEL BEHIND HER TEAMMATE JESSIE HOWARD. AMY IS AN AWESOME PLAYER WHO IS JUST AN ALL AROUND CLASS ACT.

    • Wanted to see if all of you would lift up Kyle James family in prayer. Kyle was one of the best wrestlers to ever come out of Soddy Daisy and as some of you know he lost his house a few weeks ago and now his family and friends mourns his passing. Not sure if any of you were around in early 2000’s when Kyle was wrestling at Soddy, but he was a 3 time state champ and a Fargo AA along with going to Colorado to train to make the Olympic team. That goal was never reached due to medical issues, but he was an amazing wrestler and his family is as good as gold. If you were around at that time and have any pictures of Kyle, please go onto Alexy Winesburgh FB page and post. Thanks, Doug Benton
    • My opinion the 8 teams will be-  Greenback, Wartburg, Gordonsville, Jo Byrns, Eagleville, Bruceton, Dresden, and South Fulton. Gordonsviile is probably the favorite but I wont say it will be an easy road. With the right draw any of the 8 could win it.
    • I understand Gibson Co. will be announced tomorrow with a familiar name. Not sure about So. Gibson.
    • A huge addition to the staff today! Former Hardin Valley legend and Richmond College running back Aaron Dykes was announced as the running backs coach. Rushed for over 3,000 yards at HVA, with 35 total touchdowns. I loved watching in Hardin Valley. I can’t believe he’s at Bearden now. I know he was trying to get a HVA job, I don’t know what happened there and how he ended up at Bearden, but I'm glad he’s here and believe he will be teaching art class as well! What a good get for the staff!!
    • Thoughts? Gordonsville won it last year with a sophomore pitcher and returned almost everybody. Can anyone beat them?
