I know this is off the subject area, but I think the Johnson girl from Bearden and the Sampley from William Blount should be a good matchup. Sampley seems to have trouble getting started, while Johnson is pretty good at starts and seems to have good top end. Just not sure that Johnson can hang with Sampley. Sampley in 100 while Johnson might take the 200 in the region.

Danielle and Judy are both really good runners. And yes Danielle has a hard time with the block but she is getting better. The 200 is Danielle's race. Her PR is 24.74 at the Vol Classic. I really believe that they both may make it to state in the 100 and the 200. I wish them both the best of luck. Danielle has said that running with Judy will make her run better. I wish that Judy would do AAU track with the Knoxville Track Club.

Danielle is a spectacular athlete. I can't wait until she's a senior.

William Blount should win by a landslide, no contest. Maryville doesn't have the field event strength to win in guys, and they are too young in the girls to do anything. Heritage...what a joke. Alcoa...might as well not have a track team when it comes to the rest of BC. William Blount wins both girls and guys.

well heaven forbid if we dont have a carl stewart and brandon waters on the team this year.....mhs is still solid in the field led in discus by aaron "don't mess with my motherboard" may and led in shot by Ab-ezy and tank "the tank" baker. Still solid...lol but yea no match for wb...mainly because of our stupid distance runners.....holy crap i think a cow could run a mile faster than they could...and now with the loss of chris mccord, our relay team isnt necessarily solid either

Well guys, hate to break your little hearts w/ who thinks MHS will win, but WB is gonna take this one! Went and watched the field events and seems that WB won just about everything! Sampley did well in the jumps, and the WB 3200m runner had an outstanding last 50m passing Maryville's Lee! But that's on the girls side.

 

Boys also showed a lot of strength today! Tomorrow will be interesting. I don't know by how much WB is ahead, but maybe this will turn somewhat into a close meet... Doubt it though!

I don't think anyone but Maryville expects to win, and they are doing that for pride. William Blount just has too many people. Maryville has too many LAZY people. Jon..as far as field events, you named two of them, what about the others? high jump? long jump? triple jump? I know that the triple will be all right with Paul Bowman, but the high jump you're depending on Ross?! I'm sorry but you can't win with that.

umm i even said william blount would win.....no one in the county stands a chance against them this year...have a once in a 50 year team this year...absolutely awesome in both field and running events. I said they would do very well and hope that they do

      Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?

      Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
