nickforte4261
Thanks for the info PSAFOUR. Where you #4? if so, u were a very good player. And you were right, we are a very young team. Sophomore in goal, freshman Sophomore and 2 juniors in the back, Freshman, Sophomore and 2 Seniors in midfield and then Sophomore and Junior up top. We start 5 upperclassman and 6 underclassman, so hopefully the future will be bright. We lost 2 starters next year, but we arent really concerned about next year, we are concerned about this year. We hope to play better come region and as you said we werent too aggressive and our coach acually touched on that subject thoroughly today in practice. One more question, who on the BA team stood out to you as the better players (just curious to see if its mostly upperclassman or lower classman that get named) if u dont really remember any #'s of any good players then dont worry about it lol. Good Luck against Baylor as well.
mclove17
number 7 definately controlled the flow of play for BA

nickforte4261
Yea # 7 thats Hunter Palmer he's very good. He played striker for us last year, but we lost sooo much from last years team that he is playing midfield this year. He's the heart and soul of our team, but he is one of our few seniors so his presence will be solely missed, anyone else stand out or is that pretty much it? u guys had #4 in the middle that i thought was very good, as well as #10 in the back and then #17 i think it was, abused us down the flank, but our starting outside back on that side was hurt, and did not play, but i still think even if we had him 17 woulda still killed us down the flank. mtnman
I think it was John Bradley Murphy that scored with six minutes left in the first half. Not many shots in the first half... didn't see the second half. Any more details? Assist on the goal?
jstone14
Chris Bach had the assist with a left foot cross near the corner of the box
blu
Did get to see this one. McCallie - better talent but Baylor better coached. Bach had too much skill and speed for sweeper(actuall may have been flat back 4). 1-0 Baylor A large man - McCallie's coach I think - stood on the sideline and only yelled "Sirrrrrrrrrr!", "Energy!", and "Pressure that!" the entire game until exhausted, he collapsed on the bench for the final minutes of the game. No real direction or coaching - just yelling. McCallie has a thorobred but needs to bring back prior coach or "ledgend" coach George to train and ride this stud if they have any hope of advancing in post season play. They are too good to be playing rec ball after so many have been in quality select programs for years. Baylor is getting better each outing! Probably coaching! realsoccer
Typical well coached and well played Baylor and McCallie soccer match. Big crowd, no whining, good sportsmanship. If you take the net margin of victory over the last 18 to 20 games played over the last the last 9 years, I bet the margin is 2 or 3 goals one way or the other. RJL294
Coach Meyers came to McCallie as a highly touted coach and there is good reason for that Coach Meyers gets his coaching done in practice throughout the week and year. When game time comes around it's up to the eleven of us to go out and get the job done. Trying to motivate us, something that has been sorely needed during game time, is the best thing that could be done. It is our effort that is lacking and motivation and hard work is the best remedy for that. To say that it is because of him that we haven't been getting results is ridiculous. He, along with Coach George and Coach Garvich, have gotten us ready to play. To this point we have dropped the ball and it's up to us alone to step it up during post season play. Enough said.
