8 Facts for South-Doyle doubters

To everyone who thinks that Halls will beat South-Doyle I have just a few hard facts that say otherwise.

 

1. Offensive player of the year (Ross)

2. 48 HR's as a team (Ross-11, Kirkland-8, Hawn-7, Zurcher-6, Vannoy-4, etc...)

3. Four .400 hitters (Ross, Kirkland, Zurcher, Smith)

4. Six all-district players in toughest district in Tennessee

5. Rookie of the Year (Hawn)

6. Two crafty lefties that consistently sit at 86mph (Holland, McClain)

7. A righty who can pump it up to 90mph (Vannoy)

8. A catcher that will flat throw you out with a 1.72 pop time (Kirkland)

Sounds like a dream team! Why cant they beat Farragut though?

If Farragut wore any other uniform color like Willie B or Knox Central there would not be a problem! It's those dang uniforms.

Lets get this straight. While Ross won the Offensive POY he is NOT the best offensive player in the district. The explanation is simple: they could not give the Offensive POY, Pitching POY, and the MVP award all to the same player. Waldrop is the true winner of all of those awards, now shut-up frozenrope.

All those great pitchers and all that offense (and parents and fans with no class) only to give up 9 homeruns and only score 4 runs. Sounds like it might be more than the other teams uniforms. Does anyone hear that.......... yup OVER-RATED.

I happen to know everyone on the Farragut team so MY team is still playing and would pretty much garauntee that they play alot longer than S-D.

I agree that Kirkland is the real deal and he'll get some hitting help at the next level. I am not sure they play in the toughest district in Tennessee.

"Real Deal" I think not. Just because he is quick to second and he can throw it back to his pitcher faster than the pitcher throws it to him doenst mean anything. Kirkland can't hit good pitching. He didn't last year against Craig Cobb and he hasn't hit well against Farragut this year. I would say that Farragut has the best pitching in the state and if he can't hit their pitching then he is going to struggle at the next level because everyone is atleast as good as Farraguts starting rotation.

Farragut is better than South Doyle. Farragut is one of the top teams in the nation. South Doyle is a very good team. South Doyle will be very scary in a couple of years. Ryan Holland and Cody Haun are 2 of the best freshmen in Tennessee.
